Capture The Flag (CTF) is a cybersecurity competition where participants solve a series of challenges to capture "flags" – pieces of data hidden within the system.
- These competitions test your skills in various domains of cybersecurity, including cryptography, web security, reverse engineering, forensics, and more.
- CTFs are designed to challenge your ability to think critically, adapt under pressure, and apply real-world cybersecurity concepts to solve problems.
What is CodeCrack?
- CodeCrack is an electrifying Capture The Flag (CTF) competition designed to push your cybersecurity skills to the limit through engaging and diverse decipher challenges.
- Dive into an immersive 12-hour experience, starting on July 12th, that demands critical thinking, problem-solving, and the ability to interpret challenges to capture the flag under pressure.
- Whether you're a novice or a seasoned expert, CodeCrack provides a thrilling platform to test your prowess in the cybersecurity domain.
- Each team must have a minimum of 2 members and a maximum of 3 members.
Competition Rules:
- Scoring System:
- Points are awarded based on the difficulty level of each challenge and the number of teams that successfully solve it.
- Challenges that are more difficult and solved by fewer teams yield higher points.
- Play Fair:
- Sharing solutions between teams is strictly prohibited.
- Each team is expected to compete independently and uphold ethical standards.
- Respect the Environment:
- Any attempt to attack other teams' systems or the event infrastructure is strictly prohibited.
- Participants are expected to maintain a respectful and secure environment throughout the event.
- Act Responsibly:
- Disruptive actions that impact the availability, fairness, or integrity of the competition are not tolerated.
- Stay Legal:
- All tools, techniques, and methods used during the competition must comply with applicable laws and regulations.
- Teamwork is Key:
- Team collaboration is encouraged, but any form of collusion or cooperation between teams is strictly prohibited.
- Judges Have the Final Say:
- All decisions made by the judging panel are final.
- Judges are responsible for ensuring a fair and balanced competition.
- Respect and Integrity:
- Participants are expected to follow the event’s Code of Conduct and behave with integrity and professionalism at all times.
- Victory Awaits:
- The team with the highest score at the end of the event will be declared the winner.
- Hints:
- Points will be deducted for each hint used.
- The deduction amount may vary based on the challenge difficulty and the hint level.
Guidelines:
- Reporting Time: 4:00 PM - 5.30 PM on July 12, 2025. The registration desk will close at 5:30 PM sharp.
- To ensure a hassle-free registration process, please carry your college ID or any other valid ID Proof.
- Requests for refunds from participants will not be entertained.
- The event will be conducted from July 12th, 2025, 6:00 PM, to July 13th, 9:30 AM.
- Participation certificates will be issued only to those who stay till the closing ceremony.
- Once registered and upon entering the event, participants will not be permitted to leave the college premises under any circumstances. Therefore, all attendees are requested to bring all necessary items with them.
- Hostelers from FISAT will not be permitted to return to the hostel during the event. Therefore, they are advised to bring all essentials with them in advance.
- Please carry bed sheets and blankets if required.
- Meals will be provided to the participants at the venue, starting from dinner on the 12th to breakfast on the 13th.
- Entry to and exit from the college premises will be strictly restricted during the event. No one will be allowed to enter or leave the campus until the event concludes.
- Your data will be stored for further purposes.

- Cryptography:
- Classical ciphers, modern encryption, and decoding methods.
- Steganography:
- Hidden data in images, audio, or text using basic stego techniques.
- SQL Injection:
- Exploiting input vulnerabilities to bypass authentication or access data.
- Web Reverse Engineering:
- Analyzing scripts and logic to uncover hidden elements or flags.
- Cyber Forensics & Logic:
- Challenges focused on investigation, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
