Convectus: The Social B-Plan Competition

Description:

The Social B-Plan Competition at CONVECTUS 2025, is a platform for aspiring entrepreneurs to present innovative and sustainable business ideas. Participants will pitch their models to a panel of industry experts, gaining valuable feedback and recognition. Whether it’s a tech-driven startup, a market-ready product, or a scalable business solution, this competition offers the opportunity to refine ideas, network with professionals, and take the next step toward building a successful venture while trying to bring positive change in society.

About:

Enactus is a global nonprofit organization that fosters social entrepreneurship among students to create a sustainable impact. We take pride in the numerous achievements of Enactus at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar College, University of Delhi, whose nationally recognized projects have never failed to contribute in the advancement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Guidelines:

• There will be 2 rounds in this competition.
• Online Round
  • Participants must register and submit their business ideas in the form of a PowerPoint presentation (PPT). 
  • The PPT can have up to 8 slides (excluding the introduction and salutation slides), which may include problem analysis, business ideas, value offerings, innovation, USPs, feasibility, scalability, marketing strategies and revenue models.
  • The result for this round will be announced on 26th February 2024, 4:00 pm.
  • The selected teams will advance to the next round.  
• Offline Round (Finals) 
  • The final round will be conducted offline at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar College on 3rd March 2024, 11:00 am onwards.
  • Each team/participant will have 6 minutes to pitch their business idea.  
  • This will be followed by a 4-minute Q&A Round, where judges will ask questions related to the business model and idea.  

Judging Criteria:

The winners will be evaluated based on:  

• Innovation: The idea’s originality and uniqueness will be evaluated, along with how it stands out from existing solutions.
• Creativity: The level of imagination, uniqueness, and engagement in the concept and its presentation will be assessed.
• Presentation: The clarity, structure, and persuasiveness of the pitch will be measured based on how effectively the idea is communicated.
• Feasibility Of The Business: The practicality, realism, and potential for real-world success will be key factors in evaluation.

Rules:

• Each Team should consist of 2-4 members.
• The opportunity is free and open to students across all disciplines.
• A person can register as part of only one team.
• All the personal details mentioned while registering should be true and fair, failing to which will lead to disqualification.
• The organizer's decision shall be final and binding in all circumstances.
• Entries should be original. Submission of plagiarized content will lead to automatic disqualification.
• Cross-college entries are allowed
