Design-O-Thon 2025: The UI Revolution (Hybrid Mode)

Registration:

• Registration is mandatory for all participants.
• This is an individual-only competition; team entries will not be accepted.

Participation Format: Design-o-thon 2025 will be conducted in hybrid mode, allowing participants to join either in-person or remotely.

In-Person Participation:

• Venue: Inspiria Knowledge Campus
  Matigara, Siliguri – District Darjeeling, West Bengal
• Dates: May 9–10, 2025
• Participants attending in person must cover their own travel and accommodation.
• Suggestions for nearby hotels and stays will be shared soon, but logistics are the participant's responsibility.

Remote Participation:

• Remote participants must ensure a stable internet connection and have all required tools installed prior to the event.
• Submissions and presentations must be uploaded within the competition window via the official portal (details to be shared upon registration).

Competition Details:

• Participants may work on their own design idea or select from themes provided at the event kickoff.
• The challenge begins on May 9, 2025, and all work must be created during the event window.
• Accepted design tools include: Figma, Miro, Canva, Adobe XD, Sketch, or equivalent platforms.
• AI tools may be used for assistance (e.g., layout, palette suggestions), but final designs must reflect the participant’s own creative effort.
• All participants must use their own laptops and software; please ensure tools are installed and accessible (offline if needed).

Submission Guidelines:

• All final submissions must be made before the deadline announced during the event.
• Both remote and in-person participants will follow the same evaluation criteria.

Intellectual Property:

• All submitted designs become the intellectual property of the event organizers.
• Submissions must be original and created during the Design-o-thon.
• No pre-existing or published work is allowed.
• Use of third-party elements requires proper attribution.
• Plagiarism or IP violations will lead to disqualification.

Code of Conduct & Venue Rules:

• All participants, whether remote or in-person, must adhere to professional conduct and event guidelines.
• In-person attendees must respect the venue’s safety, cleanliness, and community rules.
• Disruptive behavior or rule violations may lead to disqualification from the event.
