Dr. Dr Singh Memorial British Parliamentary Debate Competition

With the world embracing democracy wholeheartedly, PCTE Group of Institutes is back with Season XV of the enriching Dr. DR Singh Memorial British Parliamentary Debate on 14th and 15th Feb, 2025.

We extend a formal invitation to your esteemed institution to participate in India's premier Inter-varsity British Parliamentary debating championship, an event of unparalleled significance and prominence on the debating circuit.

The British Parliamentary debating format is the official format of the World Universities Debating Championships (WUDC).  PCTE with the active cooperation of LMA (Ludhiana Management Association) pioneered British Parliamentary Debate in the country almost 15 years ago.

Guidelines:

• Inter College Debate Competition.
• Team members from different specializations within the same college/university are allowed.
• Each college may send one team, or a maximum of two teams if part of a university/group of institutes.
• No registration charges for participation.

Eligibility:

• Open to institutes across India
• One team per college; up to 2 teams for universities/groups

Prizes:

• 1st: ₹1,00,000
• 2nd: ₹25,000
• 3rd: ₹10,000
• Quarter-finalists: ₹3,000 each

This is an Offline Event which will take place at PCTE GROUP OF INSTITUTES, Ludhiana, Punjab

Accommodation: Free accommodation and meals will be provided for all outstation teams.
