Elixir Enigma (Vaccine Development Challenge) : Stages and Timelines

Round 1: Quizzical Immunity

This round will consist of a quiz consisting of 20 questions on D2C (20 Minutes).

Round 2: Warp Speed Ahead!

In this round, the shortlisted teams would be developing the vaccine of COVID. They would be selecting business heads and vaccine ingredients to manufacture the cure. A handout containing brief descriptions of the business heads, components, and instructions would be provided to the teams in due time. It is a brutal race to develop the vaccine, save the world and be remembered as heroes.

Final Round: Pitch to Clinch!

Amid the rampant speculation about when COVID-19 vaccine will be successfully administered amongst the populace after it can successfully hit the market, there has been much less focus on how it would be done. Countries would need immense preparation in order to avail supply chains effectively for the distribution of vaccines. With the background, the final challenge for the teams is devising strategies for vaccine distribution for their allotted country.

All that you need to know about Elixir Enigma (Vaccine Development Challenge)

Round 1 Quizzical Immunity

  • This round will consist of a quiz consisting of 20 questions on D2C (20 minutes).
  • The quiz will primarily center around the happening of 2020.
  • The teams will be judged on the number of correct answers and the time they take to complete the quiz.
  • Top 25 teams will gain immunity from elimination.

Round 2Warp Speed Ahead!

  • In this round, the shortlisted teams would be developing the vaccine of COVID. They would be selecting business heads and vaccine ingredients to manufacture the cure.
  • A handout containing brief descriptions of the business heads, components, and instructions would be provided to the teams in due time. It is a brutal race to develop the vaccine, save the world and be remembered as heroes.
  • The event would be a live one and would be conducted on Zoom.
  • The responses of the teams would be accepted through Google Forms.
  • The teams will be evaluated on two parameters, viz. the efficacy of vaccine developed and quantity of vaccine produced.

Final Round Pitch to Clinch

  • Amid the rampant speculation about when COVID-19 vaccine will be successfully administered amongst the populace after it can successfully hit the market, there has been much less focus on how it would be done.

  • This is the finale round and would be conducted on Zoom. There will be a judge’s panel to evaluate the teams.

Prizes:

  • We will be declaring the top 3 winner teams after the final round by combining their scores of all three rounds.
  • Top 25 teams from Round 1 also will get 'Certificate of Merit'.
  • Prize money worth INR 40,000 up for grabs!

Additional Rules:

  1. The decision of the organizing committees will be final.
  2. The use of unfair means will lead to direct elimination.
