Finspire: Stages and Timelines
Round 1 - Quiz
- Teams will have to take an online quiz round consisting of 30 questions in 15 minutes. A 8-hour window will be provided to complete this round. Only team leader will be allowed to attempt the quiz.
- The online quiz has been specifically designed to assess your comprehensive knowledge and understanding of finance.
- It will challenge you on a wide range of topics, including financial concepts, theories, industry practices, and practical applications, allowing you to demonstrate your expertise in this field.
- The quiz aims to test both theoretical knowledge and the ability to apply financial principles in real-world scenarios.
Round 2 - Treasure Hunt
- Participants progress through a sequence of finance-themed challenges.
- Teams must correctly answer each question to proceed, ensuring a thorough test of their knowledge and problem-solving skills.
- The round emphasizes persistence and teamwork, as there's no skipping—only those who solve all questions reach the final one.go
- Participants are required to go through Finserve's social media to get the answers for certain questions.
- Participants can use the clues in the stories of Finserve's instagram handle - @finserve_iimsirmaur
Round 3 - Case Submission
- The third round will be a case study analysis round.
- Submission must be in a 5-6 slide PPT (excluding introduction and thank-you slides).
- If selected for the final round, the same PPT framework must be used for presentation.
- Minimal modifications allowed, focusing on refining insights rather than changing structure.
- The PPT file should be named in the format: "TeamName_Finspire".
Round 4 - Online Presentation
Top teams selected from round 3 will present their decisions to the judges. They will be judged based on their clarity, analysis and reasoning.

It’s designed for those who aim to become top financial analysts, skilled economists, investment bankers, or financial risk managers. If you enjoy solving problems using financial and economic insights, this event is for you!

General Rules and Regulations for the Event:
- Each team must have 2-3 members.
- Teams from the same institution are allowed, but no individual can be part of more than one team, there is no restriction on the number of teams from an institute.
- Each team must nominate a leader and share their details during registration.
- Any deviation from the above-mentioned guidelines will result in the immediate disqualification of the entire team.
- Judges and organizers decisions are final and cannot be challenged.
- All submissions must be original. Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Teams must adhere to deadlines for each round. Late submissions will not be accepted.
