GrabHack: Shaping the Future

Grab invites you to GrabHack: Shaping the Future…Dream It. Build It. Grab It.— a premier competition for working professionals across India to showcase their skills and tackle real‑world challenges. Under the overarching theme of Artificial Intelligence, you’ll choose one of three tracks: Generative AI + Agentic Automation in Fintech, Gen AI-enabled Personalized & Intuitive User Experiences, and Generative AI for Monetizing Payment Capabilities. The hackathon will be hosted at Grab’s Bengaluru offices. Bring your best AI ideas and compete for top honors!

Eligibility & Team Rules:

• The competition is open to all working professionals in the Tech Domain with at least one year of experience, regardless of their area of specialization.
• The participants should register in teams of 2 to 4. 
• The participants can be from any specialization.
• They should be full-time/part-time working professionals.
• Cross-organisation teams are allowed to participate.
• One participant cannot be a member of more than one team.
• There is no restriction on the number of teams from a particular company.
• A gender diversified group is recommended, however, not mandatory. 
• Any deviation from the above-mentioned guidelines will result in the immediate disqualification of the entire team.

Competition Structure:

Round 1: Treasure Hunt

• Treasure Hunt Round is a non-elimination round. A few top participants can get some weightage in the Grand finale judgment for the team that completes 7/10 levels.
• All participants will be eligible for the Treasure Hunt Round once they register for the Hackathon.

Round 2: Executive Summary Submission

• A Case Launch Webinar will be held before the Executive Summary Submission round, where leaders will give a brief presentation directly to participants and answer questions that they may have.
• Participants will have to submit an executive summary of their proposed solution in a 2-Slider PPT format or a 2-minute Video around any of the below problem spaces:
  •  Generative AI + Agentic Automation in Fintech
  • Gen AI-enabled Personalized & Intuitive User Experiences
  • Generative AI for Monetizing payment capabilities. 
• All team members speaking in the video pitch round are not mandatory.

Round 3: Grand Finale

• The Grand Finale will be held in the Grab Bangalore Premises on Jul 5, 2025 (Saturday) - Jul 6, 2025 (Sunday).
• Profile verification of the finalists can be done anytime.
• Top teams will be invited to Grab's office for a 24-hour hackathon where they will build the solution and have a detailed presentation around the problem space to the Grab Senior Leadership team.
• The teams will have to manage their travel and accommodation on their own.
• Teams will be given 10 minutes to present, followed by 5 minutes of Q&A.
• Further details of the grand finale round will be disclosed closer to the event.
  

Rewards and Prizes:

• The Regional Winners will be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 3,00,000.
• The Regional 1st Runners-up will be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 2,00,000.
• The Regional 2nd Runners-up will be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 1,00,000.
• The Finalists will bag an Interview Opportunity (subject to T&C) with Grab.
• All participants will receive a welcome Kit from Grab at the Grand Finale.
