Ideathon 2026: Stages and Timelines

Online Submission (Screening Round)

Teams must submit a PPT/PDF outlining their idea. Problem Statement: Define the key issue being addressed, its importance, and the stakeholders affected; Existing Solutions & Gaps: Summarize current approaches and highlight their limitations or inefficiencies; Proposed Solution & Technical Approach: Present the idea along with the methods, technologies, and workflow used to implement it; Feasibility Analysis: Evaluate practicality in terms of cost, resources, and technical implementation; Impact, Use Cases & Future Scope: Describe expected benefits, real-world applications, scalability, and future improvements.

On-Campus Final Presentation

Prototype & Hardware Demonstration Teams with working prototypes or demos will be provided: Dedicated exhibition stalls Basic setup support (space and power supply) Provides enhanced visibility, added recognition for practical implementation, and a competitive advantage in evaluation.

Ideathon 2026

  • Ideathon 2026 is a structured innovation challenge organized by the Robotics Club Kinetic to identify and promote high-impact, technically feasible solutions to real-world problems.
  • The event evaluates participants on creativity, problem-solving ability, scalability of solutions, and technical understanding.
  • It follows a multi-stage process, culminating in an on-campus final round where shortlisted teams present before a panel of judges.

Prototype & Hardware Demonstration

  • Teams with working prototypes or demos will be provided:
    • Basic setup support (space and power supply).
  • Provides enhanced visibility, added recognition for practical implementation, and a competitive advantage in evaluation.

Important Notes & Policies

  • This Event is the part the Sentience x Saptrang 2.0 annual fest of NIT Delhi and dates are subject to change.
  • No travel or accommodation will be provided. Participants must manage their own arrangements.
  • Shortlisted teams must be physically present for the final round.
  • Team changes are not allowed without prior approval.
  • Participants must maintain professional conduct. Misconduct may lead to disqualification.
  • Decisions of judges and organizers will be final and binding.

About National Institute of Technology (NIT), Delhi

National Institute of Technology Delhi (NITD) is one of the thirty NIT (s) built up in the year 2010 by a demonstration of parliament and has been pronounced as an Institute of National significance.

NIT Delhi is a self-sufficient Institute which works under the aegis of Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. It plans to give guidelines and research offices in different controls of Engineering, Science and Technology, Management, Social Sciences and Humanities for advance learning and dispersal of information.

The strategic NIT Delhi is to deliver human asset the individuals who are imaginative, serious and creative with high mind and moral qualities. The Institute is conferring all encompassing instruction, alongside teaching high virtues in its understudies.

NIT Delhi has begun its scholastic meeting in 2010 with three undergrad B.Tech degree programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering. The scholarly exercises of NIT Delhi were started at NIT Warangal in year 2010 which later moved to a transitory grounds at Dwarka, New Delhi in June 2012 and now as of now running at IAMR Campus, Narela (February 2014).

Ownership of fifty one section of land has been dispensed for changeless grounds of NIT Delhi on NH-1, Narela sub city, New Delhi. The way toward building up the lasting grounds has started.
