Ideathon: Stages and Timelines
Round 1 (Online) – Idea Submission
Teams must submit an abstract idea (max 10 slides) highlighting innovation, feasibility, and impact.
Final Round (Offline) – Onsite Presentation
Shortlisted teams will present their ideas in detail (15–25 slides) in a 7-minute presentation, followed by a 5-minute Q&A. Evaluation will focus on clarity, practicality, impact, and originality.
All that you need to know about Ideathon
Overview:
- Ideathon is a creativity-driven event where students showcase their ability to identify real-world problems and propose impactful, innovative solutions.
- Unlike hackathons, Ideathon focuses on conceptualization and strategic thinking, not on building prototypes.
- Participants will present their ideas, highlight their feasibility, and demonstrate how they can create meaningful change.
Round 1 (Online) – Idea Submission:
- Submission Deadline: 12th September 2025
- Participation Fee: Free of charge
- Teams must submit an abstract idea (max 10 slides) highlighting innovation, feasibility, and impact
- A judging panel will evaluate all submissions and shortlist the most promising ideas
- Note: Detailed information for Round 2 will be shared after Round 1 concludes
Final Round (Offline) – Onsite Presentation:
- Dates: 10th – 12th October 2025
- Shortlisted teams will present their ideas in detail (15–25 slides) in a 7-minute presentation, followed by a 5-minute Q&A
- Evaluation will focus on clarity, practicality, impact, and originality
- Teams should emphasize implementation strategies, potential effects, and technological understanding
Participation Rules:
- Teams must consist of 2–3 members
- Qualifying teams for the onsite round will pay a minimal fee
- Presentations can include slides, visuals, or other aids
- No external assistance (including online research) is allowed during the final presentation
- Judges’ decisions will be final and binding
Judging Criteria:
- Feasibility – Is the solution practical and implementable?
- Innovation – How unique and creative is the idea?
- Technology – Understanding and relevance of the chosen tech stack
- Impact – Scale and significance of the proposed change
- Presentation – Clarity, structure, and effectiveness of communication

About Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management
- Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (IIITM) Gwalior was established in 1997 by the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Govt. of India.
- It is an effort by MHRD towards building professionals in the fields of management and IT from the same institute.
- The institute was created for facilitating research, consultancy and higher education in the areas of IT and business management.
- Earlier the institute was prefixed with ABV in the year 2002 to honor the then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

- The three ‘I’s not only form the ‘M’ but also the crown of ‘T’. The pattern in whole comprises of three I’s, one M and one T.
- The concentric circles represent the bird’s eye view; a comprehensive approach to training, academics, and consultancy.
- The dot represents the institute’s clear focus on Information Technology (IT) and management.
- Blue color represents knowledge and depth is depicted by its dark shade knowledge.
- The phrase “knowledge is the nectar of life” forms the base of this logo design.
