Round 1: Idea Submission (via Unstop)
Participants must submit a detailed abstract presenting their proposed solution for asteroid defense and resource extraction. Only shortlisted teams will advance to the offline presentation round.
Round 2: Presentation Round (Offline)
Shortlisted teams will present their proposed solution through a structured presentation before a panel of judges at MANIT, Bhopal. This round will assess technical feasibility, innovation, and clarity, followed by a Q&A session with the judges.

Welcome to Ideathon!
Ideathon invites you to solve a dual cosmic challenge: defend Earth from approaching celestial threats and harness the resource potential of redirected asteroids. Combine innovation, technical feasibility, and sustainable thinking to secure the future of space survival and development.
Eligibility:
- Open to all students across disciplines
- Team participation: 1 to 4 members per team
- Inter-college and inter-specialization teams allowed
- One member must be designated as Team Leader
Event Details:
- Format: Two-stage event
Round 1: Abstract Submission (Online via Unstop)
Round 2: Presentation (Offline at MANIT, Bhopal) - Challenge Objective: Develop a venture to: Design a mission to protect Earth from asteroid threats and enable sustainable asteroid mining near Earth.
- System Focus: Develop defense strategies, retrieval spacecraft, and mining systems with technical feasibility and long-term impact.

- Registration and Abstract Submission Deadline: 19 August 2025
- Announcement of Shortlisted Teams: 20 August 2025
- Presentation Round: 22 August 2025
Rules:
- One Abstract Per Team: Submit via Unstop in PDF format.
- Presentation Mandatory: Only for shortlisted teams
- No Plagiarism or AI Usage: All content must be original; AI-generated material is strictly prohibited
- Follow Specs Strictly: Formatting, content structure, and submission components must match Rulebook
- Q&A Participation Required: Each team must respond to jury questions during the final round
- Judges’ Decision is Final: No appeals or objections will be entertained
Disqualification:
- Submission of plagiarized, AI-generated, or pre-existing content
- Violation of formatting, file structure, or problem alignment
- Failure to comply with submission or event guidelines
- Misconduct, non-cooperation, or breach of integrity
- Any attempt to manipulate the jury process or interfere with other teams

About Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), Bhopal
- Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT) Bhopal was founded in the year 1960 and is named after the renowned educationalist and scholar, Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, former Union Education Minister, Govt. of India.
- The campus is spread over an area of 650 acres of land.
- The entire campus consists of an administrative and academic building, workshop, Community center and Library, Residential area accommodation for students and faculty and other general amenities such as post office, dispensary, etc.
- MANIT offers various UG and PG programs in various streams of B.Tech and M.Tech respectively.
