Industrial Design Problem: Stages and Timelines

Join us for the offline round of Industrial Design Problem, where participants will compete in a series of challenging and engaging tasks designed to test their skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. All that you need to know about Industrial Design Problem
Industrial Design Problem is an offline event, which is to be held at IIT Kharagpur only.
Flow of the Event:
- The Industrial Design Problem involves students participating in a team of 4.
- Then the selected teams work on the Problem Statement, which is related to the problems faced currently in the Mining Industry. The Industrial Design Problem is an overnight event.
- The participants are enthusiastic and thrilled with this overnight competition as they would exchange ideas and design a prototype model in one night and bring them to reality.
Registration Deadline: 24/March/2025, 11:00 PM.
Rules:
- This is an offline event.
- A team of 4 UG or PG can take part in this event.
- The problem statement will be provided for the teams and the teams have to prepare a physical model for the given problem statement.
- Participant teams have to make the physical model in the given time.
- Winners will be decided based on the model they present.

About Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur
- The first IIT was born in May 1950 in Hijli, Kharagpur, in the eastern part of India.
- This is possibly one of the very few Institutions of the world that started life in a prison house.
- Before the formal inauguration of the Institute on August 18, 1951, the present name 'Indian Institute of Technology' was adopted by Maulana Abul Kalam Azad.
- IIT Kharagpur, fondly referred to as IITKGP, has the largest campus among all IITs - at 2100 acres and as home to 20000 residents, it is a mini township. It is a two-hour drive from Kolkata airport, connected by National Highways and rail to Chennai, Delhi, and Mumbai, with trains to and from Kolkata running throughout the day.
- IIT Kharagpur Motto: "Yogah Karmasu Kaushalam" which literally translates to "Excellence in action is Yoga". This implies that doing your work well is (true) yoga.
