All that you need to know about Innovatron: Robotics Ideation & Innovation Competition

Welcome to Innovatron: For Creators of Tomorrow!

Are you ready to revolutionize the future with your ideas? RoboInnovate invites participants to explore creative solutions in robotics and allied domains through an ideathon-style competition. The track is Open Innovation, so the field is wide open — from automation to sustainable tech, wearable robotics to AI integration — we’re excited to see what you bring to the table.

What’s the Challenge?

Participants must conceptualize a robotics-based idea and present it through a structured PPT presentation. While full prototyping is not required, some digital/physical prototyping (CAD models, simulations, circuits, mockups) is encouraged to support your idea.

A PPT template will be provided to ensure consistency. It will contain:

  • An introductory slide
  • Slides with just titles (for idea explanation)
  • One slide with a blank title (for flexibility)
  • A final "Thank You" slide

Guidelines:

  • Track: Open Innovation
  • Eligibility: Open to all undergraduate and postgraduate students across India
  • Team Size: 1–5 members
  • Presentation Time: 10 to 15 mins
  • Inter-college Teams: Allowed
  • Inter-specialization Teams: Allowed
  • Prototyping: Optional but encouraged
  • Language: English only
  • Template Usage: Mandatory

Format & Process:

Single Round Ideathon
Submit your idea in the form of a PPT (based on the shared template) before the deadline. The PPT should cover:

  • Problem Statement & Relevance
  • Proposed Solution
  • Innovation Factor
  • Implementation Strategy
  • Impact/Use Case
  • Prototyping/Model (if any)
  • Timeline (Tentative)
  • Launch: 27th July 2025
  • Submission Deadline: 26th July 2025 – 11:59 PM
  • Result Announcement: 3rd August 2025

Judging Criteria:

Your ideas will be evaluated on the following basis:

  • Innovation & Creativity – How unique and forward-thinking the solution is
  • Feasibility – Can it be implemented practically with current/near-future tech?
  • Impact – What real-world problem does it solve?
  • Presentation Clarity – Is the idea well-structured and easy to understand?
  • Bonus – Inclusion of a basic prototype/model

Rules:

  • Only one submission per team is allowed
  • Each team will be given 15 minutes
  • Plagiarism or idea theft will result in disqualification
  • Submissions must strictly follow the provided PPT template
  • Late submissions will not be accepted
  • The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding
