About the Event
Ever tried selling something absolutely useless (or even harmful) and making it sound like a life-changing deal? If yes, then MADvertising is the competition for you!
Get ready for a battle of creativity where logic takes a backseat, and humor, wit, and persuasion take the wheel. Whether you’re selling inflation as a financial gym bro, capitalism to a socialist, or 2008’s economic crisis to Lehman Brothers, the goal is to convince, entertain, and impress!
Think of it as a wild improv marketing showdown, where spontaneity and originality rule. But remember—no dark comedy!
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to all college students.
- Inter-college teams are allowed.
Team Composition
- 1-4 members
- No participant can be a member of multiple teams.
Event Structure & Rounds
Round 1: Thematic Advertising
- Participants will select a theme from a given list (shared via Google Form once the registration closes).
- They must present a creative advertisement explaining an economic or social concept using their chosen theme.
- Time Limit: Minimum 1 min 30 sec | Maximum 3 min 30 sec (buzzer at 3 min).
- Top 6-8 teams will move to Round 2.
- Venue: NSB 3, Maitreyi College
- Date: 25th March 2025
- Time: 11:00 AM
Round 2: On-the-Spot Madness
- Topics will be given on the spot.
- Teams will have 15-20 minutes to prepare their advertisement.
- Judging will focus on spontaneity, creativity, and originality.
- Venue: NSB 3, Maitreyi College
- Date: 25th March 2025
- Time: 11:00 AM
Rules & Guidelines
- Participants must stick to their given time limits.
- No offensive, derogatory, or dark humor is allowed.
- Use of props (placards, instruments, etc.) is encouraged.
- The script must be original—plagiarism will lead to disqualification.
- The advertisement must align with the given theme and convey a clear concept.
