Submit your Report and CAD file through the Google Form given in the rulebook.
Presentation Round
The participants qualified for this round have to initially submit their presentation through the Google Form sent to you and then have to present their idea through live presentation in front of a panel of judges.
All that you need to know about Mechette
Mechette is an exhibition of engineered maquettes. A virtual competitive event, Mechette requires participants to work on the selected problem statement and showcase their problem-solving skills and prove their mettle in designing. It is not only a test of a participant’s prowess in designing but the feasibility and practicality of their idea as well.
Organized by ASME IIEST Shibpur Student Section and ASME NIT Patna Student Section, Mechette invites participation from all engineering students across India.
Vision: To be the thought leader in solution-oriented engineering and play a significant role in the engineering renaissance of the nation.
Mission: To advance transformative education and solution-inspired approach in budding engineers through motivation and incentivization.
Highlights:
- The competition consists of two rounds:
- Round 1: Submission of a detailed preliminary report highlighting the main points of the design
- Round 2: Presentation
- Individual Participation
- The top three winners will be declared after Round 2

About Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology (IIEST), Shibpur
- Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur was established on 24th November 1856 as Civil Engineering College within the premises of the Writers Building, Calcutta and was shifted to its present campus at Shibpur, Howrah in 1880.
- The Institute was given the deemed university status in the year 1992 by MHRD, Government of India.
- In March 2014, it was converted into an Institute of National Importance through an act of parliament with the name Indian Institute of Engineering Science and Technology, Shibpur.
