Meesho DICE Challenge - Tech Track: Stages and Timelines

Initial Screening

Registered teams will be screened to ensure all the members are eligible and there is no duplicacy.

Software Development Quiz (Applicable for teams registering in this domain)

All participants of the eligible teams will have to attempt the quiz, which will be 30 minutes long and will have questions based on Software Development. Participants can expect questions covering OOPs, data structures, algorithms, operating systems and general programming. Only those candidates who have chosen this domain will have to attempt this quiz. The final score of a team will be an average of the individual scores of the participants.

Analytics Quiz (Applicable for teams registering in this domain)

All participants of the eligible teams will have to attempt the quiz, which will be 30 minutes long and will have questions based on Analytics. Participants can expect questions covering SQL and analytics-related aptitude. Only those candidates who have chosen this domain will have to attempt this quiz. The final score of a team will be an average of the individual scores of the participants.

Data Science Quiz (Applicable for teams registering in this domain)

All participants of the eligible teams will have to attempt the quiz, which will be 30 minutes long and will have questions based on Data Science. Participants can expect questions covering machine learning, statistics, and algorithms. Only those candidates who have chosen this domain will have to attempt this quiz. The final score of a team will be an average of the individual scores of the participants. 

Online Coding Round (Software Development Domain)

Shortlisted teams will progress to the coding round, where each member will have to attempt a coding challenge that will be 90 minutes long and will have 2 questions to solve based on the Software Development domain. Teams can code in any of the coding languages. The round will be open for an 11-hour window, during which all the participants will have to attempt it to be considered for the next round.

Teams can code only in SQL.The round will be open for an 11-hour window, during which all the participants will have to attempt it to be considered for the next round.

Problem Solutioning (Software Development Domain)

Shortlisted teams will be given a choice of problem statements to work on. Teams will have to create an 8-12 slider deck for the solution.

Grand Finale

Top 5 teams will travel to Bangalore for a Grand Finale and will present their solutions to Meesho leaders.

Unpacking the Buzz: What’s Meesho DICE?

Whether it’s solving problems for our users at scale, or working on some big, bold experiments, we make sure every action we take ties in with our mission to make online commerce accessible and affordable for 1.4 Billion Indians. 

With Meesho DICE, you’ll dive into real-world projects, explore the grassroots innovation that drives our mission, and connect with industry experts. Along with the thrill of prizes and networking, you’ll walk away with valuable insights into how Meesho crafts impactful solutions that empower entrepreneurs across India. 

Eligibility Criteria: 

  • Students pursuing their B.Tech or dual-degree courses (B.Tech + M.Tech) from the eligible campuses.
  • Students graduating in 2025 or 2026.
  • Cross-specialisation teams are allowed.
  • There should be 1-3 members in each team.
  • One eligible participant can be a part of one team and one track only.
  • Applying in more than one team will be grounds for disqualification.
  • All members of a team must be from the same college.
  • Each of the team members has to be individually eligible as per the criteria mentioned above to be allowed to participate in the quiz round.
  • Meesho jury will have the final authority in any cases of discrepancies or misunderstandings.

Competition Structure: 

Initial Screening:

  • Registered teams will be screened to ensure all the members are eligible and there is no duplicacy.
  • Teams that fail to meet the eligibility criteria will not be allowed to progress to the quiz round. 

Round 1: Domain-Specific Quiz 

  • Each member of an eligible team has to take the quiz, and the final score for the team will be an average of individual members’ scores.
  • The quiz will be 30 minutes long.
  • Software Development Quiz will include questions on Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and general programming.
  • Analytics Quiz will focus on SQL and analytics-related aptitude.
  • Data Science Quiz will cover machine learning, statistics, and algorithms.
  • The quiz will be open for a period of 8 hours; all members of a team have to attempt during the given time frame to be considered for the next round.
  • Teams will be shortlisted for the next round based on their position on a leaderboard. 

Round 2: Domain-Specific Online Coding Challenge 

  • All members of the shortlisted teams will attempt a coding challenge to be considered for the next round.
  • The coding challenge will be open for 8 hours on the stipulated day.
  • You can code in any language, however, it is preferred to code in Python for Data Science domain.
  • The assessment will be 90 minutes long and the participants will be tested on skills corresponding to their domain of choice.

Round 3: Problem Solutioning 

  • Shortlisted teams will be allowed to choose a problem statement in their domain.
  • Teams will have to submit 8-10 slider decks for the solution.
  • The Submissions must be in PDF format.
  • Naming Convention - TeamName_CampusName_DomainName
  • The file size should not be more than 20 MB.

Grand Finale:

  • The top 5 shortlisted teams will travel to Bangalore for the Grand Finale where they will present their ideas to Meesho leaders. 

Rewards: 

  • The winning team will receive a cash prize of rupees 1,00,000.
  • The runner-up team will receive a cash prize of rupees 50,000.
  • Top teams will get an opportunity to secure Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) and will stand a chance to be a part of Meesho!
