Novus 2025: Stages and Timelines
Submission Round (via Unstop)
Track 1 participants only need to submit the Word file and should write "NA" in all other sections during submission. Track 2 participants do not need to make any submission for Track 1.
Offline Round - Track 1
The Offline Round involves in-person presentations at SNU, where teams pitch their solution, demonstrate Innovation, feasibility, and market impact to the panel of judges.
Offline Round - Track 2
Finalists will present their software prototypes or solutions in person, demonstrating creativity, scalability, and real-world impact.

NOVUS 2025 | National-Level Hackathon
Innovate. Inspire. Transform.
Welcome to NOVUS 2025, Eastern India’s largest national-level hackathon, hosted by LNC Community in collaboration with Sister Nivedita University (SNU). This premier event features two exciting tracks:
Open Innovation Challenge: 25th-26th February 2025
Software Hackathon: 24th-26th February 2025
Aimed at uniting innovators, problem-solvers, and tech enthusiasts, NOVUS 2025 provides a platform to address critical social and technological challenges.
Track 1: Open Innovation Challenge
What Is the Challenge?
Participants are encouraged to propose transformational ideas to tackle real-world problems and showcase impactful solutions through two rounds:
- Round 1 (Online): Submit your proposal via Unstop. Top 30 teams will be shortlisted.
- Round 2 (Offline): Present your solution at SNU, evaluated on originality, feasibility, and market impact.
Eligibility & Team Formation:
- Open to all individuals, including students and professionals.
- Teams of 3-4 members; inter-college and inter-specialization allowed.

Submission Requirements:
Submit a Word document detailing the idea/plan, along with diagrams, photos, or prototypes (if developed).
Track 2: Software Hackathon
What Is the Challenge?
Participants will develop innovative software solutions to address real-world challenges during an intense 36-hour hacking period.
Event Details:
1. Round 1 (Online):
- Submit your ideas through Unstop.
- Top 30 teams will be shortlisted based on clarity, creativity, and feasibility.
2. Round 2 (Offline):
- Hacking Period: 36 hours of live coding at SNU.
- Total Duration: 56 hours, including coding, workshops, and presentations.
- Teams will present their prototypes and participate in a Q&A session.

- Open to students, professionals, and tech enthusiasts nationwide.
- Teams of 3-4 members; inter-college and inter-specialization allowed..

General Rules and Guidelines:
Teams must register and submit ideas via Unstop.
Judges' decisions will be final and binding.
Timely submission is crucial.
