Panel Presentations - Samvaad 2024

We are thrilled to announce a competition for students as part of our upcoming event - Samvaad 2024, featuring three esteemed panels on Strategy, Finance, and Marketing. This is a unique opportunity for the winning teams to present their ideas in front of our distinguished panelists and a live audience. Additionally, the winning teams will receive prizes worth Rs.30,000.

Eligibility:

• The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in any program at IIM Lucknow.
• Inter-specialization team members are allowed.
• Teams can form across different academic years.
• One person cannot be a member of more than one team.
• Teams must consist of 3-4 members.

Format:

• Each panel (Strategy, Finance, Marketing) will have a separate competition.
• Teams must choose one panel to participate in.
• The competition will consist of two rounds: Preliminary and Final.

Process:

• Preliminary Round:
  • We have provided one topic for each of the three panels.
  • Teams will have to submit their deck in the form of a PowerPoint presentation on their chosen panel (maximum 8 slides, excluding the start and thank you slides).
  • The slides must be visually appealing, as they are supposed to be showcased to an audience of 100+ students. Avoid cluttered boxes and segments. 
  • Submissions will be judged by a preliminary jury, and the top 3 teams from each panel will advance to the Final Round.
• Final Round:
  • Finalist teams will present their solutions in front of a jury. 
  • Each team will have a maximum of 12 minutes for the presentation.
    (P.S. The date of the presentation will be communicated after the preliminary round.)

Submission Details:

• All presentations must be submitted in PPT format.
• The deadline for submissions is 11th August 2024, 23:59:59.

Panel Presentation Topics:

• Strategy and Governance - "India @2030: Can It Emerge as a Global Superpower?"
• Finance - "India's Union Budget 2024: A Strategic Masterstroke or a Major Setback?"
• Marketing - "How Can Micro-Moments Capture Consumer Attention in a Mobile-First World?"

Rules:

• All participants must be students of the Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow.
• Teams must adhere to the specified team size and composition rules.
• Teams must submit their solutions within the stipulated deadline. Late submissions will not be considered.
• All submissions must be the original work of the team. Plagiarism will lead to disqualification.

Please Note that the organizers reserve the right to make any changes to the rules and guidelines. Any changes will be communicated to the participants promptly. Any form of malpractice or misconduct during the competition will result in immediate disqualification.
