IEEE Paper Presentation: Stages and Timelines
Submission of Paper or Poster

Final Presentation
Final shortlisted participants will get to showcase their work to the panel of judges.

Eligibility:
- Students enrolled in B.Tech, Dual Degree, or M.Tech programs are eligible to participate.
- Participants can form a team of up to 3 members.
- Individual participation is also allowed
Topics
Research Work / Projects under the following topics are welcome to the event.
- Signal Processing
- Communication
- VLSI Technology
- Robotics and Automation
- Oceanic Engineering
- Computational Intelligence
- Photonics
- Any other new age technology
Round 1: Submission of Paper or Poster:
- Participants must submit either a technical paper in IEEE journal format or a poster outlining their idea.
- The submission should include:
- A clear description of the idea.
- Proper references and proofs supporting the concept.
- If the idea is derived from another research paper, it must be explicitly mentioned in the submission.
- Deadline for submission: 23-03-2025.
- Evaluation will be based on originality, technical clarity, and relevance.
Round 2: Final presentation:
- Shortlisted participants from Round 1 will present their work in front of a panel of judges.
- Presentations in this round should be in PPT format and must include:
- A working model or simulation results to validate the feasibility of the idea.
- If a final working model is not possible, sufficient evidence (e.g., simulations or calculations) must be provided to demonstrate the idea's practicality.
- The presentation must align with the IEEE journal paper or poster submitted earlier.
- The presentation must be delivered in a clear and concise manner, adhering to the following rules:
- Maximum presentation time: 10 minutes (8 minutes for presentation + 2 minutes for Q&A).
- Exceeding the time limit may result in deduction of marks.
- Participants must ensure that their work is presented in their own words and not copied verbatim from other sources.
Guidelines for the Paper
- All papers should be in the IEEE journal format which can be found on official IEEE website and is also provided at IEEE presentation format
Guidelines for the Poster:
- All posters should include the Institute Logo and IEEE Logo along with the author’s names and should be presented in A2 format.
- Clear and concise title.
- Summary including the principal aspects of the project (max 250 words).
- Methodology used for developing the project.
- Results and discussion including figures and tables.
- Conclusions highlighting the main findings.
- The goals / objectives of the project, methodology, results, future work and other discussions
- We highly recommend the use of tables, pictures, photographs, diagrams, charts and other graphical tools which may help to a better understanding of the project.
Disqualification:
Any form of plagiarized content submitted will lead to immediate disqualification. Allowable plagiarism limit (< 10%).
Disclaimer:
- The shortlisting criteria shall not be revealed and above stated may be subject to change.
- In case of any discrepancies, the word of organizers is considered final.
