Photon Forge

Description:

Photon Forge is an exciting competition that celebrates innovation and  creativity in  the  field of optics. Teams consisting of two-three members are invited to showcase their demonstration that  exhibits any principle/application of light.

During the event, each team will present their demonstration to a panel of judges and fellow  participants. Teams will have the opportunity to explain the principles behind their  demonstration and its potential applications.

Competition Details:

• Date and Time: March 16th,2:00pm to 5:00pm
• Venue:H13, Academic Block, IIITDM Kancheepuram

Rules:

Team Composition:

• Each team may consist of 2 to 3 members.

Equipment and Materials:

• Teams are responsible for bringing any specific equipment or materials required for their demonstration.

Demonstration Content:

• The demonstration may illustrate any principles / application related to light. Some example include reflection, refraction, diffraction, polarization, or anything relevant to the domain of optics and photonics.
• Demonstrations should be informative, engaging, and suitable for a general audience.

Duration:

• Each team will be allocated a specific time slot to present their demonstration.
• The duration of the demonstration should be within the allotted time frame

Judging Criteria:

• Demonstrations will be judged based on creativity, presentation skills, audience engagement, and overall effectiveness.
• Judges will evaluate how well the team communicates the principles of light and how engaging their demonstration is to the audience.

Compliance:

• Teams must adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by the event organizers.
• Failure to comply with the rules may result in penalties or disqualification.

Decision of the Judges:

• The decision of the judges will be final and binding.
• Any disputes or concerns regarding the judging process must be addressed to the event organizers in a respectful manner.
