About the Event
The Photo Manipulation Competition is a creative challenge where participants use their photography and digital art skills to transform a self-clicked photo into a mystical and ethereal visual. This event celebrates the fusion of photography and digital art, encouraging participants to reimagine themselves in a whimsical world. Winners will be invited offline for prize distribution and recognition.
Theme: "Mystical Metamorphosis"
Participants will click a photo of themselves and manipulate it to create a visual that embodies mystery, transformation, and ethereal beauty. Draw inspiration from tarot, mythology, or fantasy to craft a stunning visual narrative.
Objective
The goal is to create a captivating photo manipulation that transforms a self-clicked photo into a theme-related visual. Participants will showcase their technical skills, creativity, and storytelling abilities through seamless blending and imaginative design.
Deliverables
- Photo Manipulation: Submit a high-resolution image of the final manipulated photo.
- Before-and-After: Include the original self-clicked photo alongside the manipulated version.
- Visual Description: Write a short description (100-200 words) explaining the story, mood, and connection to the theme.

- References: Explore tarot cards, mythology, or fantasy art for inspiration.
Eligibility
- Open to all designers aged 16 and above.
- Both amateur and professional artists are welcome.
- Students enrolled in any program at an educational institution in India with a valid ID card.

- Round 1 Deadline (Online): 17th February 2025 | 11:00 PM
- Prize Distribution (Offline): To be updated
Rules & Regulations
- All submissions must be original work created specifically for this event.
- Participants must use their own self-portrait photograph as the base image.
- Plagiarism or use of pre-existing artwork will result in disqualification.
- Participants retain ownership of their work but grant the organizers the right to showcase it for promotional purposes.
- Winners will be invited offline for prize distribution.
- Decisions made by the judges are final and binding.
Judging Criteria
- Creativity and Originality: How unique and innovative is the photo manipulation?
- Visual Appeal: Does the manipulation stand out in terms of aesthetics and style?
- Technical Skill: How well-executed is the photo manipulation in terms of blending, lighting, and detail?
- Storytelling: Does the visual’s design and description convey a compelling narrative?
- Theme Alignment: Does the manipulation align with the mystical and transformative theme?
General Rules
- TETRIX reserves the right to disqualify teams promoting inappropriate content.
- Event timelines are subject to change in case of unforeseen circumstances.
- Judges’ decisions are final and binding.

About Delhi Technological University (DTU), New Delhi
- Delhi Technological University was established in 1941 to fulfill the needs of Indian industries for trained technical manpower having the right theoretical knowledge and practical experience.
- The college got affiliated to Delhi University in the year 1952.
- The college was set up at historic Kashmere Gate campus but later on, in 1996, the campus was shifted to Bawana Road, adjoining Sector-17, Rohini, Delhi-42 covering the area of 164 acres of land.
- The college's former name Delhi College of Engineering was changed to Delhi Technological University in July 2009.
