Round-1 (Abstract Submission)
All participants of the Poster Presentation Competition, it's time to submit your abstracts! Ensure your submission clearly highlights your research idea, key insights, and relevance in physics, chemistry, math, or interdisciplinary fields.
Round-2 (Live Presentation and Q&A)
Shortlisted teams will present their poster through a 7-minute presentation and Q&A session with the judges. The presentation should highlight the core concept, methodology, and interpretation & relevance of their research.

Celebrating 50 Years of Excellence:
We are thrilled to announce the 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics Societies of St. Stephen’s College! Since their inception in 1974, these societies have fostered curiosity, innovation, and academic excellence.
To mark this incredible milestone, we are hosting a grand celebration on February 28, 2025 – National Science Day. This special event will blend the legacy of our societies with the spirit of science, featuring engaging competitions, thought-provoking discussions, and exciting activities designed to inspire the next generation of thinkers and innovators.
The Poster Presentation Competition is not just an exhibition—it’s a platform where creativity meets scientific excellence. Whether your topic is physics, chemistry, mathematics, or an interdisciplinary fusion, this is your chance to visualize, present, and communicate groundbreaking ideas in a compelling way.
With a showcase of analytical depth and clarity, only the most impactful presentations will stand out. So, bring your best concepts, refine your visuals, and let your research make waves!

Event Structure:
- Round-1: Abstract Submission (Online)
- Mode: via Unstop
- Evaluation Criteria:
- Clarity of Thought
- Research & Content
- Round-2: Live Presentation and Q&A
- Mode: On-Campus Presentation
- Time Allotted: 7 minutes per team
- Evaluation Criteria:
- Clarity of the problem/question
- Soundness of methodology
- Appropriateness of findings
- Interpretation of findings
- Relevance of Research
Guidelines:
- The event is open to all undergraduate students enrolled in recognised universities.
- Each team can have at most 2 members.
- Inter-college teams are allowed.
- Round-1 mandates an abstract submission on the basis of which the teams will be shortlisted for the on-campus presentation.
- The poster can focus on a single discipline (Physics, Chemistry, or Mathematics) or take an interdisciplinary approach—which can be a combination of any 2 disciplines or all of them.
- The teams are advised to bring their own poster print-outs (A3 size).
Rules:
- The teams will be assigned to the judges who are experts in the field(s) that the teams select.
- If the poster falls under multiple disciplines, an expert from each field will evaluate it collectively and the final score will be the average of the respective judge's scores.
- The decision of the judges is final and binding.
- No appeals, objections, or disputes regarding scoring, feedback, or results will be entertained.
- Participants must accept the outcome with professionalism and respect.
