Potentate: Stages and Timelines
Preliminary Round: Online Scavenger Hunt Challenge !
1. Once registered, only the team leader will be added to a dedicated WhatsApp group. You'll receive a link to our custom online scavenger hunt platform right there.
2. Tackle 10 tricky scavenger hunt questions within an intense 60-minute countdown. This is not a regular Unstop quiz. AI can't just tell the answers, this demands real teamwork, creativity, and quick thinking!
3. Only leaders get the group invite, so designate wisely.

Final Round: Auction and Policy Formulation
It will be an Auction Simulation Round in which teams will participate in offline bidding for world leaders, countries, crises, and industries. After the allotted preparation time, the finalist teams will be required to present their policy ideas before the judges. The winners will be judged based on their wit, tactics, and efficiency in managing their resources, including their wallets, as well as their handling of the assigned crises.

About the Event:
- The Department of Economics, Hindu College, University of Delhi brings you the much-awaited event of its Annual Departmental Fest L’Economiste 2026 - Potentate
- Structured around World Economy and Politics, it is going to be a perfect amalgamation of auctions, negotiations, crises, and policy formulation
- Register and participate to experience the daring world of diplomacy
Event Guidelines:
- Registrations are open for all colleges and schools
- A team can have a maximum of three members and a minimum of two members
- Cross-institutional teams are allowed
- Only College Undergraduates and students of Grades XI-XII are allowed to participate
- The competition will have a preliminary online round, followed by the offline finale
- The final round will be offline at the Hindu College Campus, University of Delhi
- No participation certificates will be awarded for the online preliminary round
Important Note:
- You can register as an individual or team in only one event under L'Economiste 2026 (either Potentate, Hindu Stock Exchange or Ranjan Roy Memorial Debate)
