Product Teardown: A Product Case Competition, Season 8: Stages and Timelines

Round: 1

The competition will start with a Concept Session by Product Leaders on How to do Product Teardown with a step-wise step guide. Product Space mentors will be available to help you with any queries or support. Problem Statement will be shared after the Concept Session. As part of this round, you must submit your solution in PPT/PDF format consisting of required content slides excluding introduction & thank you slides. Ideally, you should have up to 10 to 12 slides.

Presentation Demo Day

The top 5 scorers will move on to the next round wherein Product Space Mentors will provide 1-1 feedback to improve their submission. Your team will be invited to showcase their case solutions before industry experts on MS Teams/Zoom, etc.

Event Details:

  • Participants form teams to analyze a real-life product case provided by organizers.
  • The case presents challenges and opportunities the product faces in the current market.
  • Teams complete tasks including market research, proposing solutions, go-to-market strategy, and product roadmap development.
  • Teams present their findings to a panel of judges.

Rounds:

  • First Round: Teams submit innovative solutions based on specified case parameters.
  • Second Round: Top 5 solutions present to industry expert judges.

Rewards:

  • Cash Prizes and In-Kind Prizes: Winner: Rs. 3000 per team, 1-1 Portfolio & resume review (Rs. 1000 per team member), Free Access to Tech for PM sessions (worth Rs. 3000), Placement Assistance, Product Space vouchers (Rs. 7500 per team member). Runner-Up: Rs. 2000 per team, Placement Assistance, Product Space vouchers (Rs. 6250 per team member). Top 5: Vouchers worth Rs. 5000 per team member.
  • Scoring Requirements: Minimum 70% for cash prize, 60% for top certificates based on rank.
  • Interview Opportunities: Winners get direct interview opportunities.
  • Placement Assistance: Top 2 teams receive resume review, portfolio session, and 1-1 Mock interview with Product Leaders.

  • Guidelines and Rules: Teams of 1-2 members only, no team modifications post-registration, no limit on team entries, violations lead to disqualification.
