The Information Systems and Media Relations Team (iSMaRT), the official PR Team of SIBM Pune, presents PRoelio 10.0 - The nation's leading PR-based case study competition for college students, where teams of 2 to 3 participants are challenged to address a public relations crisis through an in-depth case analysis. Now in its landmark 10th edition, PRoelio 10.0 is set to be more impactful and dynamic than ever before.

About:

PRoelio 10.0 is a premier live public relations simulation that offers participants a unique opportunity to step into the roles of senior executives managing a PR crisis. In this high-pressure environment, teams are tasked with developing and executing a strategic response to mitigate the impact of the crisis, all while facing intense media scrutiny. Upon submitting their proposed solutions, the top-performing teams are invited to the prestigious Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Pune campus for the national finale.

At the finale, teams present their crisis management strategies to an esteemed panel of judges, showcasing their ability to handle complex public relations challenges. Following the presentations, participants engage in a mock press conference, where they are subjected to rigorous questioning by investigative journalists. This dynamic simulation allows the judges to critically evaluate the participants’ crisis management skills, as well as the effectiveness of their PR strategies in navigating high-stakes situations. PRoelio 10.0 serves as an exceptional platform for aspiring PR professionals to demonstrate their expertise in crisis communication and strategic public relations.

Rules:

• The team members must be from the same college.
• Cross-specialization teams are eligible.
• Cross-year teams are eligible. 
• Team Size - 2-3 Members.
• All team members must complete their registration and form their teams before the deadline (28th November 2024, 11:59 PM).
• Changing teams will not be permitted after the specified date.
• Each participant may be a member of only one team.
• Every team must provide a unique team name during the registration process. 
• The evaluation of solutions presented (from Round 2 onwards) will focus on the originality of the idea, the reasoning behind it and the data supporting the proposal.

Competition Stages:

• Stage 1:
  • The quiz consists of 20 questions with no negative marking.
    Teams will have 20 minutes to complete the quiz, which can be attempted anytime within a 12-hour window.
  • Only the team leader is permitted to attempt the quiz.
  • This serves as an elimination round, with the highest-scoring teams advancing to Stage 2.
  • Qualified teams will be notified via email after the quiz.

• Stage 2:
  • Submissions should consist of a maximum of 5 slides, excluding the title and thank you slide. The title slide must clearly display the team name and details of all team members.
  • The deadline for submission is 7th December 2024, by 11:59 PM.
  • This is an elimination round, with the top-performing teams advancing to Stage 3, the final round.
  • Qualification will be based on the originality of the solution, feasibility of implementation, innovation, and overall presentation quality.
• Stage 3:
  • The final round will be hosted offline in SIBM Pune - Lavale campus on 14th December 2024, 10 AM onwards.
  • A minimum of two out of the three team members must be present on campus to represent their team.
  • The top 6 qualifying teams will present their solutions (maximum 8 slides excluding title and thank you slide) to the judges while also being subjected to rigorous questioning by investigative journalists in the press conference.

• In case of any dispute, the decision of organizers shall be final & binding.
