Quantalytics: Stages and Timelines
Submission through Unstop
Submit one ZIP file named “Team_Name.zip” containing:
- Research Report (.pdf): Detailed report on methodology, assumptions, performance analysis, and improvements.
- Source Code (.py): Python file taking a CSV file as the only input and outputting all required metrics. Ensure code is well-commented and readable.
- Requirements.txt (Optional): Include if additional libraries or dependencies are needed for running the code on unseen data patches.

Prometeo 2026 marks the latest edition of IIT Jodhpur’s National Technical and Entrepreneurial Festival. Inspired by Prometheus, the Greek fore-thinker who gifted humanity the fire of knowledge, Prometeo embodies the spirit of innovation, creativity, and technological progress.
The fest features an exciting mix of talks, workshops, and competitions that immerse participants in emerging technologies. In an era defined by global challenges, Prometeo fosters collaboration and builds a community of problem-solvers striving to elevate, transform, and conquer.
About Quantalytics:
- Quantalytics is a quantitative research and algorithmic trading event crafted for budding quants and finance enthusiasts. The objective is simple yet challenging:
Develop, backtest, and evaluate a quantitative trading strategy using the provided Problem Statement.
Participants must:
- Develop or explore quantitative/statistical tools
- Automatically detect trading signals
- Formulate a clear hypothesis
- Backtest the strategy using any platform of their choice (e.g., Blueshift, Algobulls, QuantConnect)
- Evaluate the profitability and robustness of the approach

Guidelines:
- Team Size: 1–3 members
- Inter-College Teams: Allowed
- Students from any recognised engineering college/institute are eligible
- Teams may include members from different colleges or specialisations
- The event is conducted offline as part of Prometeo 2026
- Every team must have an appropriate team name (cannot be changed later)
- Each team must nominate a Team Representative/Leader during registration
- The representative must provide valid contact details (email ID, mobile number) for communication
Rules:
- Any discrepancy or violation may lead to penalties or disqualification
- All submissions must be made before the deadline; late entries will be penalised
- The decision of the judges is final and binding
