Robo Race (Advance Track)

Event Description: Robo Race is a competitive event that challenges participants to navigate their robots through a series of obstacle courses. The competition places a premium on both the mechanical robustness of the robots and the piloting expertise of their operators.Each round of Robo Race will feature a unique obstacle course designed to test the capabilities of the competing robots. The course will incorporate a variety of challenging terrain.

Event Details:

• Team Size: Minimum of 1 member, Maximum of 4 members
• Number of Rounds: 2
• Mode of Conduct: Offline
• Date: 23 August, 2024 | 1 PM to 2 PM
• Venue: IIIT-Delhi (Lecture Hall Complex)
• There are no Screening Rounds. Teams must be present physically at the venue after registering through Unstop.
• Mode: Offline

Arena Specifications and Dimensions:  There will be slopes for robots to climb and descend, obstacles like cupcakes, cans, and bottles placed on circular paths and random tracks, and different surfaces like sand and pebbles. The exact layout of the course will be a surprise and revealed only on the day of the competition.

Robo race will converse in two rounds:

• Round 1: qualifying round, without the payload. 
• Round 2: final round, with the payload.

Bot Specifications:

• Wired and wireless bots are acceptable with a maximum battery voltage of 24V.
• The maximum weight allowed for the bot (without payload) is 3kg.
• The maximum permissible dimensions of robots are 30cm x 30cm x 30cm .
• Teams are not allowed to use any readymade Lego kits or assemblies.
• Teams cannot have more than one bot.
• One pilot can only drive one bot.

Race Flow: Teams in the Robo Race must start from a designated point, navigating through a challenging track while overcoming obstacles. If a bot gets stuck or deviates off-course. Coordinators will calculate the finishing times by the rules. The undulating track demands efficient navigation as teams aim to avoid disruptions, maintain stability, and swiftly complete the course.

Penalties:

• 5 sec for every wall touch 
• 2 handtouch free and for every handtouch after that will cost 15 sec 
• 1 skip allowed for any obstacle and after that 30 sec penalty 
• same pilot cannot drive two vehicles 
• one team can have one bot only

Total Prize Pool: 15000 Rs.
