The Book Club of Shri Ram College of Commerce invites you to showcase your storytelling prowess in our Short Story Pitching Competition at BookVerse, our Annual Fest in collaboration with The Great Indian Book Tour.
Rules:
Competition Format:
The competition consists of two rounds:
Round 1:
- Format: Online round.
- Submission: Participants must submit a brief summary of their unpublished short story.
- Word Limit: 1000-3000 words.
- Accepted Format: PDF.
- Entry: Each participant can submit only one entry.
- Requirements: Clearly mention the Genre and Book Title. Authenticity is crucial; any form of plagiarism or writing irregularities will result in disqualification.
- In case the file size exceeds 50 MB please email us at srcc.thebookclub@gmail.com with competition name as the subject. Deadline will remain same for email submission as well.
Round 2:
- Format: Offline round at the SRCC campus.
- Eligibility: Top individuals from Round 1 will advance to this round.
- Task: Participants must curate the Title, Plot, and overall storyline in detail.
- Presentation: Prepare a presentation of 3-5 slides (excluding Introduction and Thank You slides) to pitch their book to the jury within a given timeframe.
Judging and Evaluation:
- Criteria: Creativity, uniqueness, aesthetic appeal of the book cover, and clarity of communication during the pitch.
- Decision: The judge's decision will be final and binding
