Tariff Nexus - Global Strategy Case Competition: Stages and Timelines

Round 1 - Submission Round (via Unstop)

Teams will receive a comprehensive case study involving real-world tariff and trade policy challenges. Participants must analyze complex supply chain scenarios, evaluate regulatory impacts across multiple jurisdictions, and develop strategic recommendations. Teams will submit a detailed presentation deck (in .pdf format) showcasing their analysis, proposed solutions, and implementation roadmap for navigating international trade complexities.

Presentation Round (Online)

Shortlisted teams will present their strategies to a distinguished panel of trade policy experts, international business leaders, and regulatory specialists. This round involves a formal presentation followed by an intensive Q&A session where teams must defend their strategic choices, demonstrate deep understanding of trade regulations, and showcase their ability to adapt strategies under challenging market conditions.

Competition Structure:

  • Round 1: Strategy Development
    • Teams submit detailed strategic recommendations addressing complex tariff and trade policy challenges through comprehensive case analysis and solution frameworks.
  • Round 2: Strategic Presentation
    • Finalist teams present their global trade strategies to an expert panel of industry professionals and trade policy specialists in a live presentation format.

Participation Rules:

  • Teams may include students from different educational institutions
  • Multiple teams from the same institute are welcome to participate
  • Cross-disciplinary teams with members from various academic backgrounds and year levels are encouraged
  • Each participant may only join one team
  • Organizers' decisions regarding the competition are final
  • Additional resources and support materials on trade policies and regulations are available upon request
