The Ultimate Manager: Stages and Timelines
La Devinette (Quiz)
- Teams of 3-4 participants will participate in this initial round. This is an online round.
- Only team leaders are allowed to take part in this quiz.
- The quiz consists of 15 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) with equal weightage.
- Participants have 15 minutes to complete the quiz.
- Correct answers earn 1 mark, while incorrect answers result in a deduction of 0.33 marks.
Ethical Dilemmas
- In this round, teams face business-world ethical scenarios.
- Tough choices arise, such as prioritizing profit or customer satisfaction.
- Teams must justify their decisions.
- Judgment will be based on fairness, honesty, and integrity.
- Points will be awarded to teams for qualification.
- Participants need to submit the report in PPT format.
Case Study (On-Campus Round)
- Teams will be provided with a random case study from any of the 4 industries (tech, healthcare, e-commerce, consumer goods).
- Teams can choose the industry in which they want to solve the case from. Each group will get 45 minutes to submit a 5-slide ppt on the case study (excluding the introduction and thank you).
- Teams need to ensure that the content used in the ppt is original.
- This will be followed by a 5-minute presentation.
- This will be followed by a 5 to 10 minutes QnA session. Selected teams would move ahead to the next round.
Boardroom Showdown ( On-Campus Round)
- Teams face a mock boardroom scenario with experienced business professionals.
- 7 to 8 teams qualify for this final round. They will be presented with a surprise corporate challenge.
- Teams brainstorm, strategize, and present solutions within a limited time frame.
- Judges evaluate teams' ability to synthesize information, think critically, and present their ideas convincingly.

"Ultimate Manager " is a dynamic competition that challenges participants to demonstrate their managerial prowess. From finance and marketing to strategy and operations, participants engage in real-life business scenarios, competing against top talents nationwide. This high-stakes event pushes boundaries, encouraging participants to unleash creativity, problem-solving skills, and adaptability. With fabulous prizes at stake, it's an opportunity to dazzle as the Ultimate Manager.
Format:
- Round 1 and 2 – Online, Round 3 and 4 – Offline
- 4 Rounds
- 3 to 4 members per team
Round 1 - La Devinette (Quiz)

Rules and Guidelines:
- The event is of 4 rounds.
- Team Size: 3 – 4 members per team.
- Replacement of any participant of a team is not allowed after registration.
- Teams are required to clarify all doubts during the presentation of their ideas.
- Plagiarism of ideas or thoughts will not be accepted
- Vulgarity will not be entertained in any round.
- The decision of the event judges will be final and binding for all participants.
Judging Criteria:
Round 1: La Devinette (Quiz)
- Knowledge and Accuracy: Evaluation of participants' understanding of Business Aptitude, B-Quiz, and current affairs through 25 MCQs.
- Time Management: Efficient utilization of the 20-minute time limit for completing the quiz.
- Strategic Answering: Judging the team leaders' decision-making in choosing which questions to answer, considering the deduction for incorrect responses.
Round 2: Ethical Dilemmas
- Decision Justification (25 points): Teams' ability to justify ethical decisions made in various business scenarios.
- Fairness, Honesty, and Integrity (20 points): Evaluation based on the ethical principles displayed in handling tough choices.
- Critical Thinking (15 points): Assessing the teams' critical thinking skills in resolving ethical dilemmas.
Round 3: Case Study and Crisis Management
- Case Study Presentation (20 points): Quality and originality of the 5-slide PPT, excluding introduction and thank you slides.
- Time Management (10 points): Efficient use of the 1.5 hours for case study analysis and presentation preparation.
- Crisis Management (20 points): Teams' response to the presented crisis situation and their ability to handle unexpected challenges.
Round 4: Boardroom Showdown
- Strategic Thinking (20 points): Evaluation of teams' ability to brainstorm and strategize solutions to the surprise corporate challenge.
- Communication and Presentation (20 points): Effectiveness in presenting ideas to experienced business professionals within a limited time frame.
- Critical Synthesis (10 points): Judges' assessment of the teams' critical synthesis of information and strategic decision-making under pressure
