Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Sunil Shetty), and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte (Paresh Rawal)—who are struggling with poverty.

Raju, an unemployed man, lives with Shyam, a kind-hearted man working as a mechanic. They are both tenants in Baburao’s house. Baburao is a widowed, quirky landlord who is also financially troubled. One day, Raju and Shyam receive a wrong phone call, meant for a kidnapper. The caller mistakenly asks them to deliver ransom money in exchange for a kidnapped person. The two men, eager for money, decide to take advantage of the situation, thinking it’s an easy way to make money.

Baburao joins them, and together, they plan to contact the kidnappers and claim the ransom. Their plan, however, is full of complications. They get entangled with gangsters, who mistakenly believe they are involved in the kidnapping plot. The trio finds themselves in one chaotic situation after another, with misunderstandings and accidents piling up.

The situation escalates when they are forced to confront the real kidnappers, and a series of comedic and action-packed events follow. Despite their lack of intelligence, the three manage to outwit the criminals in the end, resulting in a happy but absurd conclusion. The film's humor is derived from their incompetence, quirky personalities, and the misunderstandings that arise throughout the story.
