Introduction to Yoursay:
Yoursay is an innovative app under development, set to launch in December 2024. The app provides a platform where users can engage in opinion trading and participate in various contests. With two primary revenue streams—opinion trading and contests—Yoursay aims to create an interactive and engaging user experience that combines entertainment with strategic thinking.
What is Opinion Trading?
Opinion trading is a unique feature of Yoursay, allowing users to express their views on various topics, ranging from current events to sports, entertainment, and more. Users can "trade" their opinions, similar to how one might trade stocks, predicting outcomes or trends. This creates a dynamic and competitive environment where users are rewarded for accurate predictions and insightful opinions.
Contests on Yoursay:
In addition to opinion trading, Yoursay hosts a variety of contests that cater to different interests. These contests range from sports predictions to quizzes and other skill-based challenges. Users can participate in these contests to win prizes, enhancing the overall engagement on the platform.
Our Vision

Yoursay’s Positioning:
Yoursay differentiates itself by combining the best elements of opinion trading and contest participation. Our focus is on creating a streamlined, user-friendly platform that offers a broad range of topics and contests, appealing to users who are looking for a more integrated experience. The brand is envisioned as a hub for those who are not only competitive but also enjoy sharing their insights and opinions on trending topics.
Design Objectives:
For this competition, we are looking for a logo that encapsulates the essence of Yoursay. The logo should be:
- Memorable: It should be distinctive and easily recognizable.
- Versatile: The logo should work well in various formats (app icons, website, merchandise, etc.).
- Reflective of Our Mission: The design should capture the spirit of opinion trading, competition, and community engagement.
- Modern and Clean: The design should be contemporary and align with current design trends, yet timeless enough to remain relevant as the brand grows.
Design Language:
Along with the logo, participants are expected to suggest a basic design language that complements the logo and can be used consistently across all touchpoints of the brand. This includes:
- Color Palette: A set of colors that reflect the brand’s personality and can be used in the app, website, and other marketing materials.
- Typography: Suggestions for fonts that align with the brand’s identity, ensuring readability and consistency.
- Visual Elements: Any additional icons, patterns, or styles that could be part of the brand’s visual language.
Target Audience:
Yoursay's primary audience consists of tech-savvy individuals aged 18-35 who are interested in current events, sports, and interactive online activities. They are looking for platforms where they can engage deeply, challenge themselves, and connect with others who share similar interests.
Submission Requirements:
- Logo Design: High-resolution image files (e.g., PNG, SVG) along with a brief description explaining the concept and inspiration behind the design.
- Design Language: A mood board or document outlining the color palette, typography, and any additional visual elements, along with explanations for each choice.
Evaluation Criteria:
Your submission will be evaluated based on:
- Creativity and originality
- Relevance to the Yoursay brand
- Usability and versatility of the design
- Clarity and coherence of the design language

The competition will end on September 22, 2024 and we will publish the results latest by 4th October, 2024.
Note: This is an Individual assessment, However you are allowed to form a team of 2 students. Any team which delivers above and beyond will gets bonus points accordingly.
