Abhinaya Darpan: Solo Classical Dance Competition

Greetings from Laasya: the Indian Dance Division of Aryabhatta College, University of Delhi.

We are pleased to invite you to our first-ever edition of Abhinaya Darpan- the Solo Classical Dance Competition as a part of our Annual College Fest Elixir '23. This competition will be a celebration of the art of dance and we invite all dance enthusiasts to participate!

• Date: 25th April 2023
• Time: 11 AM - 1 PM
• Venue: Student Activity Centre

Rules and Regulations:

• Only dance forms recognized by the Sangeet Natak Akademi (Katak, Bharatnatyam, Odissi, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, Kathakali, Sattariya, and Manipuri) will be accepted.
• The time limit for each performance is 3-5 minutes.
• The song is to be brought in a pen drive in an MP3 format.
• The participants would be judged on the following criteria:
  • The technique (footwork, expressions. hand and eye movement, sense of rhythm, precision)
  • Stage presence
  • Creativity/authenticity
  • Costume
  • Overall impact
• Obscenity of any kind will not be entertained.
• The decision of the judge will be final and binding.
• Participants will be required to pay a registration fee of Rs. 100.
