Battle of Bands(BOB)

Event Name: Battle of the Bands

Type: Live music competition

Format: High-energy band performances with at least one original composition

Eligibility:

• Team size: 3–8 members
• All participants must be active college students
• Only one band allowed per college

Original Composition:

• Minimum one original song is mandatory

Time Limit:

• 15 minutes total (including sound check)
• Exceeding the limit will result in score deductions

Sound Cut Rule:

• Live sound will be muted 2 minutes after the 15-minute limit

Stage Clearance:

• Teams must vacate the stage within the allotted time
• Delays may lead to score deductions at judges’ discretion

Instruments:

• Drum kit will be provided
• All other instruments must be brought by the band

Prohibited Content:

• No foul language or obscene lyrics
• Violation leads to immediate disqualification

Backing Tracks:

• Strictly not allowed
• Usage results in direct disqualification
