CREATIVE CUT- National Short film making competition

Creative Cut is a flagship event of "Chehre - The Dramatics Club of Institute of Management, Nirma University".

Creative Cut is a National Level Film Festival. It is the opportunity for the participants to trouville their skills and creativity that goes into making films.
But, the best part of Creative Cut is that it enlightens the participants about the entire film making process, from scripting to screenplay-writing, from acting to dubbing, from directing to editing!

Keeping in view the popularity and the success of this flagship event last year, Chehre succeeded to make this a National Level Movie- Making Competition
for the colleges pan India (B-schools as well as under-graduate colleges). This year too we strive to take the event to higher levels of success.

General Rules

• Language of the movie should be either English or Hindi.
• Time limit: maximum 15 minutes. (15+5). This margin of 5 minutes is for beginning and ending credits.
• No abusive or inappropriate words should be used.
• To be eligible, entries must be the original work of the Entrant; must not infringe third-party's rights;
  must be suitable for publication and should be ethically and culturally suitable for the local viewers;
  must not contain obscene or pornographic material;
  may not contain defamatory statements about any person, company, organization or entity;
  may not invade privacy or other rights of any person, company or entity and may not contain any copyrighted elements.
• The audio-video should be free from disturbance.
• Any type of video or film camera may be used.
• The number of participants can exceed the number of registered members. (min 5 to a max of 30 actors in a short film).
• The movie should stick to the theme.
• The decision of the judge will be final and binding.

Round 1

The theme has been released on the Facebook page of Creative Cut: https://www.facebook.com/CreativeCut18/ .
On the basis of that theme, you have to make a short film abiding by all the rules. you can choose any genre for the film, but it has to be
your original work.

• The Final Short Film should be submitted on/before 7^th February, 2018 before 11:59 PM.
• The final video must be uploaded in MOV/MPEG-4/WMV format.
• The film titles should have a title card with:

1. Team Name
2. Film Name
3. Name of the College

• It should be a minimum 720p (1280*720) resolution film.
• The movie should not exceed 15 minutes (15+5).
• Outsourcing of the film is strictly prohibited.
• Only students are allowed to participate.
• Our club holds the copyright to use your short film.
• Upload the movie on your Google Drive and share it with imnu.chehre@gmail.com .
• In all the cases, the decision of the judges stands final.

  • Script
  • Screenplay
  • Direction
  • Acting
  • Cinematography
  • Editing
  • Overall Impact (w.r.t. Theme)
• Inappropriate/controversial content, content defaming any Political or Religious Group is strictly prohibited.
• The movie should only be in Hindi or English or both.
• No restrictions on the number of people in the film.
• All the participants of the team should be from the same college.

Round 2

Screening of the qualified shoftfilms of the team will be done in our college on 10th February 2018. It will be judged by a panel of judges
on the basis of which the decision for the best movie along with the winners in the categories mentioned will be given. The decision of the judges will be final and binding

The winnig amount and certificates will be sent to the winning teams and members after the completion of the event.

CASH PRIZES UPTO 50K WILL BE GIVEN ALONG WITH CERTIFICATES.
