Line Following Robotics Contest

Guidelines:

• The robot must operate autonomously.
• The track will feature black or white lines less than 5 cm wide.
• Robot dimensions must not exceed 30 cm x 15 cm x 15 cm (length x width x height).
• Lighting conditions should not interfere with sensor operation.
• In case of a tie, consideration may be given to the robot's design.
• If no robot completes the course, the one covering the greatest distance in the shortest time wins.
• Power supplies must not exceed 12 to 15 V.

Rules:

• Robots must follow a black line on a white background to complete the track in the shortest time.
• Each round allows a maximum of three touches, with each touch incurring a 5-second penalty.
• Teams may consist of up to four members from various colleges.
• Organizers will make on-the-spot decisions if a robot remains motionless for an extended period.
• All tracks will be displayed during the competition.
• Winners will be determined based on time with the fewest penalties.
• In the event of a tie, the winner will be the robot with the fewest errors. If there are still ties, efficiency will be considered.

Event Plan:

• Round 1: Participants navigate the basic track. Those with the shortest times advance to round 2.
• Round 2: Teams tackle a more complex track. The fastest completion time progresses to round 3.
• Round 3: The final round includes a complex track and maze. The team with the shortest completion time wins.
