All that you need to know about Marketing Hub

The marketing world is changing drastically; marketers need to be spontaneous and on point with their approach. Marketing Hub is a dynamic combination of marketing concepts, logical reasoning, critical thinking, and data interpretations that will test your mettle across various exciting sections. Marketing hub provides an opportunity to unleash your creative marketing skills by stimulating your grey matter and making you recall all the marketing facts and conceptions one can think of. Here is the opportunity to unleash your inner marketing whiz!

Format:

Round 1 - Quiz(Online):

  • For Phase One of the competition, we present a quiz to challenge your marketing knowledge and judge you on your business acumen.
  • This round will be an Elimination Round.
  • The quiz consists of 20 questions for 15 minutes.
  • Only the team leader will be allowed to take the quiz.

Round 2 – Product Launch Simulation(Online):

In this round, teams are provided with a new product or service and must plan a detailed launch strategy(10 Slides). This can include identifying target markets, pricing, distribution channels, and promotional activities. They will then present their launch plan to the judges..

Round 3 – Rural Penetration(Offline):

  • The rural sector is the most challenging and hard-to-survive sector for great urban sector companies. Nevertheless, it is also a fast-emerging one with a potential for business growth.
  • In this round, the teams will be given a particular product from the Urban sector and have to present their marketing strategy before the panel of judges.
  • The judge's decision will be final and binding.

Round 4 – Grand Finale(Offline):

  • The top 5 teams will qualify for this round. 
  • Each team will be provided with a random product/service segment.
  • Firstly, the most popular brand of the given segment should be identified. 
  • Secondly, the second-most popular brand of said segment must be identified.
  • Each team must prepare a detailed presentation on getting the second-most popular brand to the first position. 
  • Presentation Duration: 15 Minutes

Rules and Guidelines:

  • The event is of 4 rounds. Team Size: 3 – 4 per team.
  • Replacement of any participant of a team is not permitted after registration. 
  • Teams are bound to clarify all doubts during the presentation of their ideas. 
  • Plagiarism of ideas or thoughts will not be accepted. Vulgarity will not be entertained in any round. 
  • The decision of the judges of the event will be final and binding for all participants. 

Judging Criteria:

Round 1: Quiz

  • Knowledge and Business Acumen: Evaluation of the team leader's marketing knowledge and business acumen through 20 quiz questions.
  • Time Management: Efficient use of the 15-minute time limit to answer the quiz questions.
  • Elimination Criteria: Judging based on the elimination rules to identify top-performing teams for the next rounds.

Round 2: Product Launch Simulation

  • Launch Strategy (30 points): Quality and depth of the launch strategy, including target market identification, pricing, distribution channels, and promotional activities.
  • Presentation Skills (20 points): Effectiveness in presenting the launch plan to the judges, including clarity and engagement.

Round 3: Rural Penetration

  • Marketing Strategy (25 points): Evaluation of the team's marketing strategy for a product in the rural sector, considering the challenges and potential for business growth.
  • Adaptability and Creativity (15 points): Demonstrated adaptability and creativity in tailoring marketing strategies for the rural sector.
  • Judges' Decision Acceptance (10 points): Recognition of the judges' final decision as binding and acceptance of feedback.

Round 4: Grand Finale

  • Identification of Brands (20 points): Accuracy in identifying the most popular and second-most popular brands in the given product/service segment.
  • Strategic Plan (20 points): Development of a detailed presentation outlining the strategy to elevate the second-most popular brand to the first position.
  • Presentation Delivery (10 points): Quality of the presentation delivery within the 15-minute time frame, including clarity and persuasiveness.
