Let's start a journey of Udaan where words become our vessel, carrying us to the shores of innovation and impact. The CII Yi Yuva Chapter, Ramanujan College. Welcome you to our Poetry Competition,  where words dance in lyrical rendition and amidst the rhythm and rhyme. 

Our theme, child safety and development is a call to action, a noble commitment in a world where innocence must thrive, make your verses keep hope alive.  Making each stanza, a beacon in the night. Come on poets, wield a potent force, To stir discussions and chart a new course. Immerse yourself in the depths of creation, let poetry be your proclamation.

For this competition, we aim to see the power of words in making children fly. So, poets, let your ink flow free, As you shape a world where all can be Safe, cherished, and allowed to dream. 

Details:

• Share your expertise, experiences, and research on child safety and development through your poems. Delve into the nuances of child safety, exploring innovative solutions, shedding light on pressing issues, and envisioning a world where every child can thrive.
• The Winning Poet will have the opportunity to Recite their Poem at our Main Event, Odyssey'24, held at Ramanujan College on 2 May 2024.

Guidelines:

• You have to participate Individually.
• Plagiarism of any kind will not be tolerated and will result in disqualification.
• You can use Google for research but no AI tool is allowed. 
• The poetry must be Typed and submitted in PDF/DOC format.
• The poetry can be English or Hindi but it should be in one language only.

Judging Criteria:

• Relevance to the Theme: The poem should directly address the theme of child safety, demonstrating a clear understanding of the issue at hand.
• Emotional Resonance: Judges look for poems that evoke strong emotions in the reader, whether it be empathy, compassion, outrage, or hope. The emotional impact of the poem is crucial in engaging the audience and driving home its message.
• Originality and Creativity: Poems that offer fresh perspectives or unique insights into the issue stand out. Judges appreciate creativity in both the subject matter and the way it is presented.
• Clarity and Coherence: A well-crafted poem communicates its message clearly and effectively. 
• Language and Imagery: The quality of language and imagery used in the poem is essential. 
• Impact and Call to Action: A successful poem on social impact not only raises awareness but also inspires action or contemplation. 
• Depth of Analysis: Poems that demonstrate a deep understanding of the child development issue and its underlying causes tend to score well.
