Standup Comedy Competition

Stand-up comedy is a live comedic performance where a comedian presents a series of humorous anecdotes, jokes, and observations directly to an audience, aiming to entertain and elicit laughter. It typically involves a solo performer standing on stage, relying on wit, timing, and relatable content to engage and amuse the crowd.

• Team Size: Solo
• Rounds: 2 (Online Eliminations and Finals)
• Time Limit: (only for finals) - 5 Minutes
• Language: Hindi and English
• Theme (only for finals) - Open

Judging Criteria:

• Creativity and Plot
• Language Proficiency
• Fluency and Reciting Skill
• Interaction and Communication Skills

Round 1 : Eliminations:

• Participants must submit their pieces (PDF) through a Google Form.
• Only one entry per person will be considered.
• They must mention trigger warnings at the top of the piece.
• Submitted Pieces will be reviewed according to the judging criteria.
• The submitted pieces must be under 500 words.
• Selected Participants for the finals will receive a mail.

Round 2: Finals- 16 Participants will be selected

• Participants will be expected to reach the event 15 minutes before the start at the latest.
• They will have to perform their pieces under the time limit. Points will be deducted if they go over time.
• There is no compulsion on participants to perform the same piece they sent for the eliminations.
• The use of excessive profanities or hate speech may lead to disqualification.
• They must mention trigger warnings before their performance if any.
• The judges will decide on winners according to the mentioned judging criteria.
