Preliminary Online Coding Contest

Onsite Finale Round
Top 10 teams from prelims will compete offline at IIIT Nagpur under ICPC rules, solving 7–8 problems. All participants receive exclusive goodies.

Event Overview:
- Algorithmia is a prestigious ICPC-style coding competition organized by DotSlash, Coding Club of IIIT Nagpur.
- Teams of three will battle to solve challenging algorithmic problems, testing teamwork, creativity, and coding speed at a national level during TantraFiesta.
What We’re Looking For:
- Passionate problem-solvers with strong algorithmic and programming skills.
- Team players who can collaborate and think creatively under pressure.
- Enthusiastic coders eager to take on ICPC-style challenges.

- ICPC-style national-level coding competition, Teams of 2–3 members.
- Preliminary online round followed by on-campus finale at IIIT Nagpur.
- Maximum 5 teams from IIIT Nagpur allowed in the onsite round.
- Registration fees for offline round may be charged.
Event Structure:
- Stage 1: Preliminary Online Coding Contest
- Date: 4th October 2025
- Time: 08:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- 2-hour online contest hosted on Codeforces.
- Teams of 2–3 members must register together.
- Features 5–6 programming problems.
- Rankings follow ICPC rules (number of problems solved, then penalty time).
- Top 10 teams qualify for the onsite round, with a maximum of 5 from IIIT Nagpur.
- Standby teams may be invited if selected teams drop out.
- Stage 2: Onsite Finale Round
- Date: 9th-10th October 2025
- Time: 10:00 PM – 3:00 AM
- Venue: IIIT Nagpur
- 5-hour onsite contest with 7–8 advanced programming problems.
- ICPC-style contest environment; one computer allotted per team.
- Ranking rules same as Stage 1.
- All participants receive exclusive stickers + free t-shirt.
- Top teams awarded prizes and certificates.
- Registration Fees: Free
Participation Criteria:
- Each team must consist of 2–3 members.
- All team members must belong to the same institute.

Rules:
- Stage 1 (Online):
- Free registration on Codeforces.
- Teams of 2–3 members register as a group.
- Duration: 2 hours, with 5–6 programming problems.
- Ranking based on ICPC rules (solved problems + penalty time).
- Top 10 teams move to Stage 2 (max 5 from IIIT Nagpur).
- Standby teams may replace dropouts.
- Selected teams must confirm participation by paying Stage 2 fee (if applicable) within 2 days.
- Stage 2 (Onsite):
- Held offline at IIIT Nagpur.
- Duration: 5 hours, with 7–8 programming problems.
- Teams use a single allotted computer for submissions.
- Rankings follow ICPC rules.
- Free t-shirts for all Stage 2 participants.
