BSides Chandigarh CTF - May 1st, 2024

About:

BSides Chandigarh Community is thrilled to announce its Capture The Flag (CTF) competition scheduled for May 1st, 2024. This CTF promises an engaging platform for cybersecurity enthusiasts to showcase their skills and compete against peers in a friendly yet challenging environment.

Eligibility:

• The competition is open to cybersecurity enthusiasts, students, professionals, and anyone with an interest in cybersecurity.
• Participants must register individually only. Inter-college and inter-specialization individuals are allowed.
• There are no restrictions based on geographic location.

Format:

• The CTF will consist of a series of challenges covering various domains of cybersecurity such as cryptography, web exploitation, reverse engineering, forensics, and more.
• Participants will compete to solve as many challenges as possible within the allocated time frame.
• The challenges will vary in difficulty, catering to participants of all skill levels.
• Participants must adhere to ethical guidelines throughout the competition. Any unethical behavior will result in immediate disqualification.

Rules:

• All participants must respect the integrity of the competition and refrain from any form of cheating, including sharing flags or collaborating with other teams.
• The use of automated tools or scripts to solve challenges is strictly prohibited.
• Participants must not attack the CTF infrastructure or other competing teams. Any malicious activity will result in disqualification and possible legal action.
• The decisions of the CTF organizers and judges are final and binding.
• A detailed Report will be required to consider a participant as a winner. (2 hours)

Duration:

• The CTF will commence on May 1st, 2024, and will run for 6 hours.
• Participants can join the competition at any time during the 6-hour window and solve challenges at their own pace.
• 2 hours will be given extra for detailed reporting.
