- INNOVATEX 4.0 – BuildWithAI is a 24-hour International Innovation Hackathon organized at Presidency University, Bengaluru.
- It is a global AI-focused hackathon where students design and build working prototypes using Artificial Intelligence technologies to solve real-world problems.
- The event allows hybrid participation, enabling teams to join either offline at the venue or online from anywhere in the world.

Objective:
- Participants will develop a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) powered by Artificial Intelligence that addresses real-world challenges.
Projects may include:
- Web applications
- Mobile applications
- AI-powered platforms
- Automation systems
- Intelligent tools or digital solutions
Final solutions should demonstrate:
- Innovation and creativity
- Technical implementation
- AI integration
- Real-world usability and impact
Team Composition:
- Only students are allowed to participate.
- Minimum team size: 1 member
- Maximum team size: 4 members
- Teams may include students from different universities or countries.
- Interdisciplinary teams are encouraged.
Example Team Formats:
- 4 students
- 3 students
- 2 students
- 1 student (Solo participant)
International Participation:
- Students from any university worldwide may participate.
Teams can join:
- Offline at Presidency University
- Online through virtual participation
Important guidelines:
- All schedules follow IST (Indian Standard Time).
- Online teams must ensure stable internet connectivity for presentations.
- Online participants will submit projects digitally and present virtually.
Development Guidelines:
Participants may use:
- Any programming language
- Any development framework
- AI tools, APIs, or platforms
- Pre-trained AI models
Supported AI platforms include:
- OpenAI / ChatGPT
- Google Gemini
- HuggingFace
- TensorFlow / PyTorch
- LangChain and other AI APIs
Important rules:
- Pre-built complete projects are not allowed.
- Previously developed code cannot be reused.
- All development must occur during the 24-hour hackathon period.
Teams should:
- Maintain a GitHub repository for the project.
- Document the system architecture and AI implementation.
- Clearly explain the workflow and system design.
Hackathon Structure:
Phase 1 – Idea Submission
Teams must submit:
- Problem statement
- Proposed AI solution
- Expected impact
- Feasibility overview
Phase 2 – Development Phase
Teams work on:
- System architecture
- AI model or API integration
- Prototype or MVP development
Mentors may review progress during the hackathon.
Phase 3 – Final Demonstration
Teams must submit:
- Working prototype or MVP
- GitHub repository
- Presentation slides
- Live demonstration or explanation
Judging Criteria:
- Innovation & Creativity: 25%
- AI Integration & Technical Depth: 25%
- Functionality & Execution: 20%
- Scalability & Practical Impact: 20%
- Presentation & Clarity: 10%
Total Score: 100 Marks
General Rules:
- Participants must follow the instructions provided by organizers and mentors.
- Ethical and responsible use of AI is mandatory.
- Offensive, harmful, or inappropriate content will lead to disqualification.
- All deliverables must be submitted before the deadline.
- Judges’ decisions are final and binding.
- Offline participants must carry valid student ID cards.
Code Of Conduct:
- Participants are expected to maintain professional behaviour throughout the hackathon.
Expected conduct includes:
- Respect towards organizers, judges, mentors, and participants
- Fair collaboration and healthy competition
- Honest and ethical project development
The following actions will lead to disqualification:
- Plagiarism
- Misconduct or harassment
- Violation of rules
- Unauthorized use of external work
Certification And Recognition:
- Participation certificates will be provided to all valid participants.
