Round 0 – The Awakening (Individual Warm-Up)
A 3 hour initial round where participants face cryptic warm-up puzzles. This phase introduces the participants with the storyline and sets the stage for the real hunt.
Round 1 – Descent into the Unknown
Participants dive into increasingly complex puzzles—codes, ciphers, and hidden patterns. Rankings shift dynamically as solvers race against time.
Round 2 – The Final Cipher
The top players face the most elusive challenges, unraveling the deepest layer of the puzzle vault. Every solution draws them closer to the truth, as they battle for the final podium finish.

CICADA 3300 is a mystery-filled competition where participants solve puzzles, crack codes, and uncover hidden clues. From ciphers and visual tricks to logic and memory challenges, every stage takes you deeper into the unknown. This event is not just about solving problems – it’s about pushing your mind to its limits and awakening your inner codebreaker.
Rules & Regulations:
- Participants must solve crypts and ciphers using their mental ability and available internet resources.
- Teams are strictly prohibited from sharing answers with others.
- Fair play is mandatory – any attempt to bypass rules will lead to disqualification.
Eligibility:
- Open to all college students with a passion for puzzles, riddles, and problem-solving.
