Code Cubicle 4.0: Stages and Timelines
Profile shortlisting round
Before the online pitch round, participants will undergo an initial shortlisting based on their LinkedIn and GitHub profiles submitted during registration. This helps us identify passionate builders with a track record of projects, contributions, or community involvement. Only the top 250 teams will be selected to move forward to the online pitch round.
Online Round
The online round serves as the qualifier stage, where around 250 shortlisted teams will present their projects or prototypes live over Google Meet on 30th June 2025. Each team gets 5 minutes to pitch their idea followed by a 2-minute Q&A with the judging panel. Based on innovation, feasibility, and clarity of presentation, the top 15 teams will be selected for the on-site Grand Finale at Microsoft Office, Hyderabad.
Offline Round
Offline Round – Code Cubicle 4.0 The Offline Grand Finale will take place on 5th July 2025 at the prestigious Microsoft Office, Hyderabad. The top 15 teams from the online round will be invited to participate in an 8-hour on-site hackathon, where they’ll present impactful solutions to expert judges, and compete for exciting prizes. What is Code Cubicle?
Code Cubicle is Geek Room’s flagship hybrid hackathon series that brings together the brightest young innovators from across India to solve real-world challenges, build groundbreaking solutions, and pitch their ideas to industry leaders.
Backed by industry partners and tech giants, Code Cubicle has seen massive traction—7,000+ registrations in past editions—with previous finales hosted in Mastercard’s and Microsoft's offices. The 4th edition will be hosted at Microsoft’s Hyderabad Office and promises to be bigger than ever.

Geek Room is one of India’s fastest-growing tech communities with 100,000+ developers. The community focuses on:
- National-level Hackathons & Hire-a-thons
- Tech-for-good projects for companies
- Startup programs, grants, and incubation
- Establishing and growing campus chapters across India
Format – Simple, Challenging & Impactful:
- Online Round (29th June 2025): 250 shortlisted teams will pitch their product/prototype live via Google Meet (5-min pitch + 2-min Q&A)
- Offline Finale (5th July 2025): Top 15 teams will travel to Microsoft Office for an 8-hour on-site hackathon, solve real-world problems, and present live to the jury
Team Guidelines:
- Team size: 1–4 members
- Inter-college teams are allowed
- Inter-specialization teams are allowed
- All submissions must be original and created during the hackathon
- All projects should be based on the problem statements/themes provided by the organizers

Rules:
- All code must be written during the hackathon
- Open-source libraries are permitted unless restricted in the problem statement

- Participants must adhere to all event guidelines; judges' decisions will be final
