About the Event:

CSS Battle is the ultimate front-end challenge designed to test your HTML & CSS skills under pressure! Compete in a fast-paced coding showdown where precision, creativity, and efficiency will determine the CSS Battle Champion.

Participants will take on three exciting rounds, each testing different aspects of their design and coding abilities. From technical quizzes to live design battles, only the best performers will advance and claim the title of CSS Battle Champion!

Rules & Guidelines:

Eligibility & Team Formation

• Open to all students across institutions.
• Maximum of 2 members per team.
• Inter-college and inter-specialization teams are allowed.

Competition Format

• Round 1: Quiz Round (Preliminary – Elimination Round)

  • Kick off with an HTML & CSS technical quiz to test foundational knowledge.
  • The top scorer earns a special advantage – the power to choose the design challenge for the next round!
  • This round determines which teams proceed to the Design Battle.

• Round 2: Design Battle (Elimination Round – 20 Minutes)

  • Participants must replicate a given design using only HTML & CSS within 20 minutes.
  • Accuracy, structure, and styling precision will be key evaluation factors.
  • Elimination: Only the best performers move to the final round.

• Round 3: Grand Battle (Final Round – 30 Minutes)

  • The ultimate showdown for the finalists!
  • Participants must recreate a more intricate design in 30 minutes.
  • Evaluation criteria:
    • Accuracy – How close is the design to the original?
    • Code Efficiency – Is the HTML & CSS well-structured and optimized?
    • Attention to Detail – Are colors, fonts, spacing, and alignments precise?
  • The best performer will be crowned as the CSS Battle Champion!

Rules & Important Notes

• Only HTML & CSS Allowed – JavaScript, frameworks, or external libraries are strictly prohibited.
• Time-Sensitive Challenge: Participants must complete designs within the allotted time. Late submissions will not be accepted.
• Originality Matters – No copying from online sources or pre-built templates. All work must be done live during the event.
• Fair Play – Any plagiarism or rule violation will lead to immediate disqualification.
