Designathon - Product Design Hackathon

Team Registration and Concept Design Submission:

• No registration fee for concept design submission.
• Only the team leader must register the team using the link provided on the website.
• Team name should be unique and must not contain the institute name.
• Team size is restricted to 2 mandatory members (including team leader) from the same college/university.
• Each participant can be a part of only one team. Teams with duplicate participants will be disqualified.
• All communication will be with the team leader only.
• Changes in team members or team leader will not be entertained.
• Submit the idea only under the relevant themes listed below.

Note: If shortlisted for the Grand Finale, a registration fee of ₹300 will be required per participant. This fee covers food and refreshments during the event. Further details will be shared by the Hackathon Coordination Team.

• Smart Automation Solutions
• Mobility and Transportation Innovation
• Medical Devices and Assistive Technology

Idea Selection Criteria:

• Novelty of the idea
• Focus on SDG Goals and Complexity
• Feasibility, sustainability, scale of impact, user experience, potential for future work progression, and commercialization
• The decisions of the jury members are final and binding.

Important Dates:

• Phase I - Concept Design Submission Deadline (Online): 05/02/2025
• Phase I - Result Release (Top 25 teams): 08/02/2025
• Phase II - 6-Hour Hackathon (Offline - Top 25 teams): 20/02/2025
  • 6 hours allotted for the hackathon: 4 hours for product design, 2 hours for presentation and demo.

Additional Information:

• The decision of the organizers and the judging panel is final in case of any disputes or concerns.
• Organizers may modify the hackathon rules, format, or prizes based on recommendations from the jury members. Any changes will be communicated promptly.
• Participants may be required to give consent for the use of photographs, videos, or project details for promotional or media purposes.
