FAIL.exe - Startup Revival Hackathon: Stages and Timelines
Round 1: Ideation + PPT
Teams must first research and ideate the solution and create a PPT (max 12 slides). The PPT must be submitted via the Google Form shared on WhatsApp Group.
Round 2: Development Round
Teams will start working on the prototype and submit a final version of their prototype via GitHub repository. The README.md must be updated with a detailed explanation of projects, screenshots (if any), and instructions to test/run the project.
Round 3: Pitching in-front of judges
Teams will pitch/present their prototype in-front of the judges, and they will be cross questioned as well. Judges will select the Top Teams based on the judging criteria.

FAIL.exe - Startup Revival Hackathon is a high-intensity innovation challenge focused on reimagining and reviving failing startups through technology, design, and business strategy. The hackathon brings together creative minds and problem solvers to analyze startup failures and rebuild them with stronger technical foundations, better user experience, and sustainable business models.
Guidelines:
- Teams must register through Unstop and complete the registration process within the given deadline.
- Each team can have 1 to 4 members.
- The hackathon will be hybrid for Out-house participants and compulsorily offline for In-house participants.
- All official communication, including the rulebook, problem statements, and announcements, will be shared through the WhatsApp Group.
- Teams must follow the given event flow and strictly adhere to round timings.
- Submissions for PPTs, prototypes, and repositories must be made only through the official links/forms shared by the organizers.
- All development work must be maintained on GitHub, with a properly updated
README.mdexplaining the project. - Participants must ensure a stable internet connection and necessary tools/software beforehand.
Rules:
- All work must be 100% original. Any form of plagiarism or copied content will lead to immediate disqualification.
- Teams must strictly follow the round structure:
- Round 1: Ideation + PPT
- Round 2: Development
- Round 3: Live Pitching
- PPT submissions must not exceed 10 slides.
- The GitHub repository must include:
- Complete source code
- A detailed
README.md - Clear instructions to run/test the project
- Screenshots or demo details (if applicable)
- Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
- Teams must present the same project throughout all rounds. Changing the problem statement or core idea midway is not allowed.
- Communication should remain professional, respectful, and collaborative at all times.
- Any kind of misconduct, misbehavior, or violation of hackathon ethics will result in disqualification.
- Judges’ decisions will be final and binding.
- The organizing team holds the right to modify rules or timelines if required, and any changes will be communicated through official channels.
