GameCraft (Gaming Hackathon)

GameCraft is a thrilling game development hackathon where participants tackle problem statements to design and develop engaging games. The event is divided into two rounds: the creation of a Game Design Document (GDD) and the final round of game development. Teams will showcase their creativity, technical skills, and innovation to create unique gaming experiences.

• Total Prize Pool: ₹25,000
• Registration Cost: ₹299 (per team)
• Team Size: 1–6
• Event Date: 15th February, 2025 - 16th February, 2025
• Event Mode: Offline

Rules & Regulations

• At least one member of each team must remain in the room at all times.
• Importing 3D assets is allowed.
• The topic chosen for the game cannot be changed once selected.
• Teams must adhere to the schedule and be on time for evaluations.
• Only game engines like Unity, Unreal, and Gamemaker are allowed.
• Pygame is not permitted, but Scratch is allowed for development.
• The finished project must be submitted before the deadline.
• Games can be developed for any modern platform chosen by participants.
• Misconduct, cheating, or tampering is strictly prohibited. Organizers’ decisions are final.
• Participants are encouraged to bring extension cords or power strips for their devices to avoid delays.

Judging Criteria

• Round 1 – GDD Evaluation: Creativity, clarity, theme integration, and feasibility of the document.
• Round 2 – Game Development: Game mechanics, topic relevance, project completion, creativity, UI/UX design, and use of custom assets.

Important Note:

• If an event has low participation, organizers may cancel it. In that case, you will receive a refund and be informed beforehand.

On-Campus Accommodation Details:

1. Only participants registered for at least one event can avail accommodation.
2. If your event is scheduled for a specific day (e.g., Event A on Day 1), you can:
   • Book accommodation for only that day (e.g., Day 1).
   • Choose to stay for all three days if needed.
3. Booking accommodation for unrelated days is not allowed. For example, if your event is on Day 1, you cannot book accommodation only for Day 3.
4. Accommodation Price: ₹900 per night (Triple sharing, AC rooms).
5. Perks Included:
   • Zenevia Accommodation - Day 1 (15th February): Entry to the Prom & DJ Night.
   • Zenevia Accommodation - Day 2 (16th February): Entry to the Fashion Show & Bollywood Artist Pro-Night.
   • Zenevia Accommodation - Day 3 (17th February): Entry to the Finale Bollywood Artist Pro-Night.
6. Each guest will receive two meal coupons, which can be used for any meal in the university mess (Lunch/Snacks/Dinner/Next Day Breakfast).

Travel Details:

• Bennett University offers chargeable bus services (₹60 one way) from Botanical Garden Metro Station to the campus in the morning and back in the evening. Seats are first-come, first-served, and the schedule will be shared after registration.
