Git Together

Overview:

Git-Together is an open-source sprint that empowers developers to contribute to real-world projects,   improve Git/GitHub skills, and build a standout portfolio. Whether you're into frontend, backend,   documentation, or AI — there's something for everyone!

Eligibility

• Open to all: students, professionals, and open-source enthusiasts
• Must have a GitHub account
• Basic Git/GitHub knowledge is preferred but not mandatory

Participation Guidelines:

• Register on Unstop (mandatory)
• Join the official GitHub repository after registration (link will be provided)
• Work individually – no group submissions
• Contributions can be in:
  • Features, bug fixes, documentation, testing
  • Automation tools, AI modules, optimization scripts
• All contributions must be submitted through Pull Requests (PRs)
• Use provided issue templates or create new ones if necessary
• Follow proper Git practices:
  • Always work on a new branch
  • Do not push directly to main or master

Submission Format:

• Fork → Clone → Code → Pull Request
• Spam or irrelevant PRs will lead to disqualification

Evaluation Criteria:

• Code quality and readability
• Clean and meaningful commit history
• Relevance and impact of the contribution
• Engagement in issue discussions (if applicable)
• Points based evaluation will be done at the end of each week.

Rewards & Recognition:

The top 100 contributors will be shortlisted for final consideration

All valid contributors will receive:

• E-Certificates
• GitHub profile review and endorsement (if applicable)
