What Is Hack For Green Bharat?

Hack For Green Bharat is the India’s flagship AI-focused sustainability hackathon, uniting top young innovators across India to tackle real-world environmental and public health challenges. Participants will build practical, high-impact solutions and present them to industry leaders.

Supported by ecosystem partners and guided by purpose, the initiative emphasizes AI-led climate action, pollution control, and sustainable development. Evolving from the success of the Code For Bharat series, this edition aims for broader participation, stronger ecosystem engagement, and measurable on-ground outcomes.

• Profile Shortlisting Round: 15th January – 1st February 2026
  • Evaluation will be based on applicants’ LinkedIn, GitHub, and previous contributions shared during registration.
• Project Submission Round: 20th February – 26th February 2026
  • The project submission link will be made available to all registered participants.
• Online Qualifier Round: 28th February 2026 - 1st March 2026
  • Shortlisted teams will virtually pitch their complete project (Code or MVP) via Google Meet. Time format: 5-minute pitch + 2-minute Q&A.
• Offline Grand Finale: 2nd Week Of March 2026 
  • Top-performing 25 teams will participate in a live hackathon with expert mentorship and pitch to a jury of tech leaders and investors.
