HackVerse 2.0 – Opportunity Description:

HackVerse 2.0 is an offline hackathon designed for innovators, problem-solvers, and builders who are ready to transform ideas into working solutions. It is a practical, execution-focused competition where participants will ideate, design, develop, and present a functional prototype within the given time frame.

  • The event will be conducted at IILM University, Gurugram, bringing together students from diverse academic backgrounds to collaborate, compete, and create impactful solutions.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students from any recognized university or institution.
  • All branches and specializations are allowed (Engineering, Management, Design, Commerce, etc.).
  • Participants must register in teams.
  • Each team must consist of 1 to 4 members.
  • Cross-disciplinary teams are encouraged.
  • Each participant can be part of only one team.

Team Formation Rules:

  • Minimum team size: 1 member
  • Maximum team size: 4 members
  • Teams must finalize members before registration.
  • No changes in team members will be allowed after registration.

Themes / Problem Statements:

Participants will develop solutions aligned with predefined themes such as:

  • Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning in innovation
  • Robotics and AI-based systems
  • Smart solutions using IoT
  • Sustainable solutions for a green future
  • FinTech & Blockchain
  • Open Innovation
  • Final problem statements must be submitted during the initial phase of the hackathon.

Event Format & Process:

Registration:

  • Teams must complete the registration process before the deadline.

Idea Submission & Approval:

Teams will submit:

  • Problem Statement
  • Proposed Solution
  • Tech Stack
  • Expected Outcome
  • The jury will review and approve ideas before development begins.

Development Sprint:

  • Teams will work continuously on their prototype.
  • Mentors will be available for guidance.
  • Internet access will be provided.
  • Participants must bring their own laptops and necessary hardware.

Final Presentation & Demo:

Each team will present:

  • Problem Statement
  • Solution Overview
  • Working Prototype Demo
  • Business / Scalability Model
  • Future Scope
  • Presentation time: 5–7 minutes followed by Q&A with judges.

Judging Criteria:

Projects will be evaluated based on:

  • Innovation & Creativity
  • Technical Implementation
  • Practical Feasibility
  • User Experience & Design
  • Scalability & Impact
  • Presentation & Clarity

Rules & Code of Conduct:

  • Open-source libraries, APIs, and standard frameworks are allowed.
  • Plagiarism will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Participants must maintain professional conduct throughout the event.
  • Any damage to university property will result in disciplinary action.
  • The decision of the judging panel will be final and binding.
